Just wondered if anyone has taken a Z into AP Motors in Plymouth. I've been speaking to them about getting my engine replaced. All impressions are good so far (great facilities, 4w rolling road, recommended by other car owners, straight talking etc). Dave :hyper:

Hi , I've had a bit of a rough ride with my Zed over the last year : -Bought in July 2004 -Gearbox re-conditioned in september 2004 -Blew two pistons in December 2004! mechanical boost valves and dodgey boost gauge not a good combination. Won't mention the turbo rebuild because thats what i thought the black smoke was from and didn't have a compression kit!! -Re-built over Christmas myself (never touched a car before this!) Didn't have enough money to take it anywhere. Put in new piston set and complete gasket set. Couldn't believe it when it started first time!! -Drove and enjoyed for 4 months, (only problem was smoke sometimes on idle ,already replace…

Hi, hello etc im ben and new to this forum, i currently go on the mr2 owners forum as thats what i have, however i want to sell the 2 as i want more power and space, so this is where i need your collective help. I like driving rapidly and really giving it some, so i've always presumed that manuals are the way to go, but finding a cheap 300 turbo in manual is err, quite hard!! i would like the extra 2 seats so is a lwb or swb what i need? whats better in fact (no rows please!)? What shall i expect to pay? my budget is tight, (under 3 grand) but i want a car i can live with for a long time, and my mr2 just aint that! So in brief, any advice or bits you could t…

Posted this earlier today, but the restore killed it. I was wondering if there are any traders or garages that offer the full auto -> manual conversion, ie they supply all the parts and fitting? Or is there anyone that can supply the complete kit, ie just the parts. Prefer North West/Manchester/North Wales area. Alex.

Hi to all. Bit of a techncial question here . Hope someone will know the answer. I'm at the moment changing the oil on my diff and have also removed the super efficient ( not ) diff oil cooler on my uk tt...I know the jap imports dont have this, so to tidy alot of the back end of the car up, i removed the cooler and all the associated piping.. My questions being, is what is the optimum amount of fluid you put in the diff ( without the cooler ) and what type of oil should yopu use...( no debates please !! lol ) :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Have just ordered two new rear tyres for the Zed ; else it won't get through the MOT. So I thought I would give the 'Tyres on line ' http://www.tyresonline.net/index.asp a go; after looking over the past threads covering tyres I went for Bridgestone SO2 N3; these are the Porker approved ones. Great price too. So watch this space for after they arrive and are fitted !! I want her back now the weather is nice !! :) Take a look at my journal soon for up dates !!!
