As the title really aint got a clue what it does, or if I need it. Im guessing they are a electronic solenoid of some sort and something to do with the turbo side of things. will I need them if I have an electronic boost controller??? its the two electronic bits in the picture with the blue hoses attached cheers

The saga continues.... After only 200 miles of ownership my nice shiney yellow '90 JAP TT decided to blow a big end. Baggins duly replaced it, got it running, only to discover that the head gasket has gone. :headvswal Baggins swore. :nono: Baggins has now set off on another round of rip it all out, and replace whatever's left. :( The problem is, I'm getting a bit paranoid about overheating, as i don't want to go through all this lot again. The stock gauge showed no sign of overheating even when it blew the top rad hose up like a balloon. So, zed gods, I'm after any advice on aftermarket gauges - what to look for/avoid etc. It…

I am mooving up to 18" wheels and would like to know if I can get 235/45/18s on the front. Dont really want to go any smaller than a 45 profile as long as it clears the front of the arch. Thanks, Chris..

Hmmm.....Cars runs sweeeettt too!! But I lost 2.5l going to the pod yesterday and another 3 going home???? (75 miles each way......) Fook that, I have learnt too much to know that I dont trust anyone else with my car so what choice do I have? Does anyone know anyone who can do this for me? If its come to it, I'll buy a cooling system pressure testing kit and blo…

Hi all, Maybe stupid question, but, here it is: When havin' a look into the engine bay, behind the big fan, there are a few (3?) 'open-air' belts.. ;what are they for? (battery charger thingie, steering wheel and aircond, is that right?) And very important question: is it of any problem if they brake? (nothing to do with the waterpumps?) thanks in advance :) cheers, bs

Having been told today that a radiator for a N/A is as rare as hens teeth, I have a question for all the technically minded on here. "is it possible to fit a TT radiator to a N/A, if it is then whats involved and are there any drawbacks to the conversion" any help gratefully recieved cause my rad is on borrowed time and I'm fed up already with taking things easy. Pete

My air con isn't working (need it in this heat). I think it just needs regassing but not having any history on it I don't know whats been done to it. Is the replacement gas R134 a ? Is there any way to find out if it just needs regassing with some sort of diagnostic and anything else that might be wrong with it ? How much roughly would a air con check and regas cost ? Cheers Paul

After a run there is petrol around the filler cap as if it has spilled out during cornering.I've tried different petrol caps but its still there. Also when I release the cap there is a "whoosh" which tends to indicate the cap is not leaking as its holding air pressure.Any ideas?

You guys seem really good at sorting out problems, hope you can help with this one. Just before i come to a stop and sometimes when driving really slow i can hear a squeal from the passanger side, can only hear it with the passanger window down, so it ain't to loud. It sounds like rubber against rubber kinda like the noise you get if your tyre touches the kerb when parking, though i aint parking. Can't determine if its coming from front or back of passanger side. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great, cheers in advance.

Has anyone heard of 9" wheels being fitted to the front of a 300zx? I can't find anyone whose done this, but I was poking around today and I thought it didn't look to difficult to create a bit more space under the wings. Am I just being stupid? If it was that easy to modify surely everyone would be doing it wouldn't they?

Saw another grey ZX in Herts..... On the M25 heading clockwise between Potter's Bar and the A10 this afternoon around 1-1.30. It was a L reg, in the nearside lane in heavy-ish traffic. I was in the outside lane heading the other way in a red ZX. Richard

when I changed my brake pads on the front out came original pads with a shim and a plate on each pad now when I put the ebc pads in the instructions made it sound like you only put the plate supplied by ebc back when you put the pads in so I scrapped the shims etc the one supplied by ebc are like and adhesive piece of metal but thats all I put in on each brake pad.. now my brakes make a loud embarassing scuffing noise on every rotation over 20mph and when I apply the brakes its a loud long ssssssccccchhhhhh!! discs and pads are all new! and theyve doen a few miles now so I dont reckon its anything to do with breaking in the pads etc Im wonderi…

The white one at 9:15, around J33 heading East. Had a high wing and slotted nose panel. The red one at 18:10, around J41 (Port Talbot) heading West. Looked stock. If either of you saw an MR2 heading the other way with 2 bikes strapped to the engine cover I was in that one! (Jay300ZX's 2nd motor- give him a car, and he'll find a way to stick bikes on it!) Had a blinding day MTBing in Afan, Wales. Bloody hard work in those temperatures though... Mark
