I have replaced the two front engine short water pipes, the thermostat, the radiator cap and I have two more pipes to fit in the current kit - Water Hose Outlet, and Water Hose Inlet! 92410-30P00 92400-30P00 Dont laugh... Right! Insurance companies. Why is it that I have spent the last 4 hours on the phone to these *******s discussing the car and the fact its imported and the fact its got mods and the fact that I am 28 and where I live and what colour underwear I'm wearing. I then ring around another few companies before ringing them back to accept - only to find that when they do the "official" quote it is a grand (yes thats £1000) more expensive. This has been done by Bell Direct (went up 500 quid), Firebond and Adrian Flux (went from 1400 to over 2300). ****ing outrageous!! All this after our esteemed club insurer Houghton wrote to me last week to say they won't be able to…

Hi everyone. I am about to venture into changing my steering wheel. I have taken the old one off and noticed that where the wires are for the horn and C/Control are there is a disc with loads of slots with one larger slot. I have no idea what this disc is for I can see it runs through a module or something that the wires are attatched to. Can anyone tell me what this is please and is it ok to totally disconnect it? Thanks for your help. Vince

Hi all :) Little problem... I drove my Zx yesterday (hot weather) on the highway (not at fullthrottle!), and afterwards, as usual i slowed down around 10km before I came to a stop, to let the turbos cool down. Well, I went to some shopping (5-10minutes away) came back and turned the engine on again. The temp-needel went very fast up to very Hot, to come down again a bit while driving again... Is this normal due to no heat evacuation while standing? or what? I'd like to check cooling water, but, no clue how to check the level of it.... thnx for advices :) cheers, bs

The garage fitting my new N/A engine told me the other day that it was all fitted, and they were about to start testing it out on a few short road journey's. They phoned me after each one to tell me the probs (eg air leaks, etc) they had, and that they then fixed - the usual stuff really. Anyway, last week they finished it all and took it down to the local carriage way for a blast, and it was perfect - no probs at all (slight leaky injector - which they then resealed). The next day it developed like a fuel starvation problem. I borrowed the car back at the weekend to put some miles on it and take it to a show, and basically if you take it over 4500 rpm its starts to miss …

I know it's not the front shocks but this is the most annoying sound, and I had it on my previous Zed which went away after a few weeks, but it's just cropped up again on this one, especially in dry weather. I was told before the name of the offending joint but can't remember. Only way to describe it is when you're driving, sounds like an old pram is in you're glove box. On the outside it sounds like you're driving an old pram :o
