My 300zx tt has had a low idle speed for several months, around 600rpm. over the last week or so, this has slipped further down, it was 500rpm for a while, today it was suddenly at 300 and then it stalled. Now it won't idle at all, it will stall immediately when I don't give any pedal. I checked the cables coming out of the TPS, one of them appeared broken so I fitted a new connector. No effect on the idle speed whatsoever. I also cleaned out some green gunge from the TPS connectors, but it wasn't much. The engine runs normally when I press the accelerator, only the idle seems to have problem. I guess it has nothing to do with it, but the aircon is seize…

Hi All, Just a few questions about engine flush and some of the additives I saw when I went to A1 Discount Autoparts earlier (don't know if they're a chain or not). I went in to get a few bits and bobs to enable me to change the oil (tray for catching the waste in and all that) and also some lubricant for the climate control sensor fan in the roof which occasionally starts shreeking like a banshee or something. So anyway I was completely boggled by the number of engine flushes, petrol additives, radiator additives (for blocking holes), transmission fluid additives (ditto) and the like. I'm following Simon's (oilman) advice on flushing the engine and chan…

When tuning your engine in what steps should everything be done??? from Filters - Drive shaft. Also including suspension and brakes, basicly everything. I really want Greddy TD06 20g's or something else just as bad boy (JWT 730bb's?? what's the best) of cause this will be over few years but i got something to roughly follow when i get to a position to get to the next level. how would i get there, including brands whats good whats not? for argument sake would Wiseco pistons be upto the job of supporting 900bhp or would Jun are they worth the extra £££. I apreciate this may be very opinion based but i just want a rough guide as i have no idea.
