General Discussions - 300ZX Related

i took me zed out saturday and all was well till i noticed the boost gauge was sat at zero,i took a look under bonnet and i had left a pipe off near the m/clyinder , which connected to the balance bar,now having connected the pipe,the gauge worked but then on return to home the engine started to smoke ( blizzard style ) only on tick over, i have just put on new recon turbo`s , p valve`s ,and serviced the motor, filter`s etc,when the engine tickover is ok no smoke but when the engine`s tickover get`s lumpy she start`s to smoke white stuff big time,i`m at a loss to know where or what is going on , is there a dodgy sensor/ valve, isa need some advice please

Can't remember exactly where it was - a bit past the M1 junctions I think on the M25, going anticlockwise at about 1.45am this (Sunday) morning.. middle aged fella.. in a dark coloured Z, J reg if memory serves. You wouldn't have seen me - I was the weirdo in the MR2 Roadster with the roof down (yes, at 1.45am :D ) that went past you.. Thought about beeping and waving, but then figured you'd just think I was some total loon :rofl:

Hi guys, I am new in this forum. I ve got a '92 Z bought in England but brought from Japan. I currently reside in Athens, Greece. I need the front right indicator and the left side indicator. I also need new gear cover (the "hood" as we say here) and the codriver's belt. All or any of them used or new. I read in another thread that uprating the zorst manifold on a N/A can increase bhp, if so does anybody know which one is best, how much more bhp and where do i get one?? :duffer: :duffer: :bow:

On average how much is it to get turbo seals replaced. Am I talking thousands here??? :eek:

got my Zed back after having new new hybrid turbos fitted 2day car is running sweet and everything anyway took it for a MOT and the bloke noticed some oil leaking from the passenger turbo (on the floor, there was a small patch) phoned the company up and he said it was normal for a bit of oil to be on the floor, he said it was prob just what was on the turbo, they prime them with no pipes on?? bit lost, the work is garrented so thats not a prob, any every had this before?? car failed on a blocked washer jet FFS!!!! :-( any ideas? he told me to run them in for 250 miles which i thought is not enough and get a oil change at 250 miles which …

What should tyre pressures be please on non turbo manual running on 205 55r 16's? Am off to Belgium tomorrow (need some tobacco!) and want to check the pressures

It wasn't me.... BUT! My mate in a dark red supra saw a silver ZX (felt honoured) :bow: and the ZX slowed to have a look then was gone. If it was anyone on here he said to say HI!. :duffer:

You were heading west around 1.45 between J9 and 10 (Maidenhead to Reading) in the outside lane. I was heading east in a red ZX also in the outside lane (where else :D ) Anyone?? Richard :smw:

My 300zx tt has had a low idle speed for several months, around 600rpm. over the last week or so, this has slipped further down, it was 500rpm for a while, today it was suddenly at 300 and then it stalled. Now it won't idle at all, it will stall immediately when I don't give any pedal. I checked the cables coming out of the TPS, one of them appeared broken so I fitted a new connector. No effect on the idle speed whatsoever. I also cleaned out some green gunge from the TPS connectors, but it wasn't much. The engine runs normally when I press the accelerator, only the idle seems to have problem. I guess it has nothing to do with it, but the aircon is seize…

Does anyone know the tyre pressures using 205 55r 16's? 1995 manual, non turbo car. Thanks

Thinking of putting a carboned bonnet on the red zed when it is rebuilt, although it is ready now just need to add the final touches let me know what you think Cheers Sharonj
