just wondering what kind of prices people are paying for a general blow over respray same colour or the same but metallic.. My car was parked next to a Prelude metallic phantom grey yesterday and it put my car to shame. Cant beleive Nissan made a 30k supercar and didnt paint most of them metallic.. especially as it was around then.. chris

Hi guys, is it possible to run a Turbo Timer and an alarm/immobiliser on the car at the same time? When my car came over from Japan I had an alarm/immobiliser fitted cos of insurance purposes, but the people who installed it said they had to remove the turbo timer because the 2 units cant run simultaneously. The immobiliser would cut in before the turbos had cooled down. I am a little concerned that i am not letting the car run for long enough after driving it for the turbos to cool down. How long should i be looking at? Cheers Ross

Anyone been? There must be a world of Z goodies over there! My ex girlfriend is there at the moment and has asked if I want anything! What a girl! I'm thinking some decent floor mats at the very least, seeing as theirs will be r/h drive. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Hi guys, just joined up here :) Looking at getting a 300zx as you can probably guess. Been reading up on them but can't get a rough mileage on when the turbos are likely to fail from anyone. Car i'm interested in has 60,500 miles and was imported in 2000, has a full history over here but from owning turbo'd cars in the past I know they can be flaky. Cheers, Daz.

OK it's not a Zed, but I'm just replacing the exhaust manifold gasket on my Rover 820 and Haynes suggest a 45nm setting for the nuts and bolts to do it up. Does this sound right to anyone? That's barely on! Cheers, Matt.

Ok, I finally admit defeat. Last summer I took the Z off the road to change the water pump, install some BLING, and completely re-do my interior. All was going well until I hit problems with changing the water pump. A number of friends had the solution, and would be round soon to fix it (with the correct tools etc.) so I got on with doing the interior. Here I am 1 year later and it's still in the same mess, I'm totally pissed off with it (and my mates) and just want to pay for someone to come round and get the bugger going again, so I can finish off all the other bits. Anyone know of a decent MOBILE mechanic in West London ? (I'm based in Hayes). It has to be mobile…

I just had my clutch replaced and noticed a wire trailing under the car near the middle/front of the gearbox area, I unplugged it from the smaller connector of these 2 - the other end is missing and has no plug attached so Im not sure where it goes. The larger of the 2 connectors has nothing plugged into it? Any ideas people? car seems to drive fine?

Is it just me or is it sometimes not very easy to read the level of oil in this? I tried it numerous times and it seems to me, you run the engine warm, stop leave for a while, then read it..the oil doesnt cover the dipstick properly for a decent readin, its on the wire, and also barely over the full length up to F but if i wipe it and do it again it then is low..its very unpredictable...Ryans done my crankshaft seal, so im still checking the levels as ive still got some oil under the motor (but it could have been rfom before) Just seems a bit difficult to get a decent level check....

Right, got my Zed import, with no manual for the interior stuff. So, how does it all work ? I assume by pressing AUTO its the air con or climate con, and you set to the temo you want. What does recon and economy do. i assume recon stops external air entering. what is the econ button ?? Also, how do i just get hot air to blow ??? cheers Dai
