Acrewood Way around 11.00am. Onyx carpark

I have removed the converter from my 90 tt, and i have the speedo cluster removed. 1 wire was cutfor some sort of feed, so i reconnected it from the loom into the speedo. However I have a black wire with silver dashes on it, that goes from the harness to the speedo, but has a green wire teed into it. This green wire disapperas off down under the right side of the dash. Any ideas where its going, and what i do with it. Thanks.

Hi all, the rear main seal is leaking on my Jap TT, before I start taking the tranny off, I was thinking to check/replace the pcv valves. Is it worth cleaning them at all? I think they are about £19+vat

I have a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 275/35/19 for my new wheels and they are just resting against some Yokohama's 265/35/18...... and the Yoko's are about an inch wider - wtf?

have had a noise which i thought was behind my dash... it turned out to be the bonnet rattling/squeeking at the hinge. on closer inspection there is a little bit of play about 1-2 mm in the pivot point of the hinge ...tried the usual wd40 trick but it returns after a couple of minutes help... is the any way to tighten the hinge up of disasemble it to put plastic washers in ect

What boss are you lot using on your aftermarket wheels ? and where from apart from MJP's

I have had a water leak for about 5 months now. Changed pipes...this slowed down the loss of water. Think ive got pipe to tub leaking as white pasty mess on drivers side tub. Thought id seen drips coming from water pump... Uses about 1.5Litres every 50miles. Added Holts "radweld" to buy me sometime. Released rad cap to check level and found I had pressure in system for the first time in about 4 months. did 200miles. It dumped its load (again) Flushed system....Twice.... Still getting bubbles and white frothy mess now as it only happend since putting in this radweld stuff. Is this due to leaving in radweld too long????? or Is it the Head Gasket? …

Not sure of any further details because it was quite some distance away. You were heading out of Cambridge. Looked like the car might have been de-spoilered.

Hi Guys, the curse of the Z has struck me again!! Got the car up in the air this evening to adjust my squealing fan belt and after starting it up to check my handy work realised that I had a blow from the pipes. On closer inspection found that 1 back box has been squashed (done b4 I got it!!!)and is actually split!!! Need help on a decent s/s replacement. HAve seen the blue flame cat back system on ebay and seems pretty good. What do you think guys? Rich

hi i am trying to decide which wing mirrors to fit to my Z either Ganadors or Veilside. Can anyone tell me which look & fit the best? ideally, i want them to have indicator built in, electric adjustment + electrical retract. even though my Z is UK. thought i might be able to wire in to work. What do you think?

Hi guys, This is my first post on this site so id like to begin with a big 'hello' to you all. :hyper: Now down to business. After 6 months/3000 miles of Z love its time for a well earned oil change. This may be a stupid question, but I have just been to the body shop who have fitted my new 99 front bumper to a 1995 import. The old indicators are indicators and sidelights combined, the new ones which go with the 99 bumper are indicators only. My foglights have sayed in place. So as he said to me, "where are your sidelights then" I did not have and answer, I hope one of you do! Thanks.

Brown Bread Dynamat Other? Can anyone actually compare or have experience and describe the actual noise reduction gained from these? Is it really noticable? Im wondering whether to get some to reduce the road noise...Im not too bothered about the weight ill just chip the car :)

Guys Freed up some cash for the next 3 months so I have a grand to spend on new improved brakes, I am thinking I am gonna need them when this new chip arrives! ;) This is on top of the bodykit and spray work being done... But, If poss I would like to spend the £1K on brakes and better intercoolers (Side mount)...I can move on the £1K to allow for slightly higer prices.... So what traders/companies offer better braking systems for the Zed for reasonable cash? Prices & Specs if available.... ;) TA.

what are the biggest pros and cons between front mount and side mount intercoolers? remember posts about this before but couldnt find them? not gonna be after a huge amount of power/boost, but want a good upgrade. noticed a big split at japfest of those with front or side mount and wondered what made people choose their particular ones? cheers

I'm going to decat the car soon and was after help. Do I go custom straight through or get a S/S cat back off the shelf so to speak and put in decat down pipes. Also there is the query regarding back pressure problems that can be caused by decatting, anyone know more?

Hi guys n girls. Wee question. Back in the day when Custom Car was king and I bought Street Machine Magazine, power mods invariably started with bigger carbs and a lumpy camshaft (usually fast road cam). Nowadays, you get ecu's, air intakes, exhaust upgrades as the way forward. What is the reason for this? Can the standard camshafts be replaced for power versions? Is this a waste of limited funds? Do modern engine management systems not accept the re-profiled cams? Just wondering.

What are the normal fluctuations in the injectors? Do you get any documentation showing this? Are the ones on ebay (for cheaper than norm) the injectors that are not quite so closely matched? Thanks

as you have probably all found the jap headlights are pretty useless and you cant see a thing at night!!!! i know you can get the HID conversion kits, but i wondered if there is any "cheap" option to getting something a bit brighter without having to spend into the hundreds (trying to save for a respray......and leather interior.....and some wheels.......and some ICE)? cheers, gaz!
