Yellow Zed going up London St from Oracle, Reading Was sat in barbers getting hair chopped and spotted it in the mirror going up the hill- cool!

I seem to have a oil leak , it seems high up i think it could be the rocker cover, how difficult of a job is this ? Is this a common leak on the Z ? Cheers Martin. :rolleyes:

Hi all, hope your making the most of the sun with the targas off (for those that have them anyway), does anyone out there know where I can get the above from for my alternator, a local auto electrician looked at my alternator and said they were both shagged but he can't do anything as he cant get the bits, I know others have had theirs repaired so they must be available somewhere. I don't know how familiar you lot are with rust on your Zeds but I have a real problem area. Its were the rear bumper joins the rear wing on the drivers side. See the pic below. I wouldn't mind but it can't of been more than three months ago that I got it sorted the first time it went. After a clean and polish yesterday I have noticed some bubbling again:( I have spoken to the body shop who sorted it for me first time around and they say that there must be water getting in somewhere. I don't know where though seeing they waxoiled it all to stop it coming back. Any idea where the water is coming in to cause the rust? Thanks, Justin:)

had my zed in today, as it cut out yesterday night. and didnt start again, checked the starter motor, alternator etc. Mechanic said its the fueling?!? Ive put a new battery on from another car and it still does the same, not battery. any ideas as i dont want my auto electrician to spend hours trying to find the fault if its a simple one? she cranks over but doesnt want to start, whiteish smoke when it does start?

Can anyone confirm the correct wheel offset for the Z please?

Right, I know you guys are a resourceful lot - can anyone help me find a set of these for my Z from a UK dealer? Woke up this morning to find a letter from the police saying that its been 28 days since they sent me a notice to prosicute and if i don't return the document within 7 days i will face going to court. The only problem is this is the first letter i've had from them, i've never had a notice of prosicution! Any ideas on what i should do? Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks.

Hi All A while ago i fitted a kph to mph converter. I do not drive my zed much but i think the gearchange pattern has changed since fitting the above! under full throttle the power light comes on as usual but the car changes to the next gear too soon ie: doe's not take full advantage of the full rev range under hard accelleration and change pattern is the same even if you take it easy or floor it. Also no kick down when you floor it unless you in o/d and that only drop's down to 3rd if you stay under 80mph any speed over that and you look pretty daft when you go to overtake something else.. :mad: .unless you turn o/d off then you just grin and go... :) ive don…

hi i have just purchased my first zed and i am completely blown away by it apart from the following which hopefully you guys can help me with!!! 1, theres a real annoying beeping sound (like you left the lights on) when i get above 50!!!! can this be re set or turned off? 2,the speedo is out and the place i got the car from said the would convert the speedo to mph for me!!!! all they did was put a 110 mph face on it and when i am doing 30 according to speedo my actual speed is about 50 calibrated by my mates volvo t5 and my sat nav!!! any ideas whats wrong!!?? and whats the best way to convert it to mph mechanicly or via the ecu? 3, how can i check the overdriv…

The aircon in my car (early -93 import) is not working (needs re-gas) and since the original gas was R12 it will either be R134a or R416 (or similar drop in) that will be used. As the aircon has been out of order for some time I am planning to get the drier tank changed as I believe that this should be done. Does anyone know if the drier tanks are the same in the US models or are the Jap part number different as the prices seem to be lower in the US? If anyone has the part number for an early (believe my car was produced in January) 1993 NA Import, please let me know.
