I come in peace...as you can tell from my username i own a Supra, I can hear the groans from some of you already ;) (read some of the original posts) I'm enquiring on behalf of a friend of mine who is very interested in getting a 300ZX. Ideally he would like a manual TT (UK or Jap, LWB or SWB) on a newish plate with lowish mileage for around the £6k mark (don't we all!) is this possible? If so can you point me/him in the right direction and give a bit of infor on them. I've found the http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm & http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/buyingZ.htm which were very helpful. Theres a few of my friends who have a variaty of cars…

Anyone know where is the best place to get new body trims. The ones that go from the front window up over the roof and down the back window. Do they come in sets or seperate pieces. Also has anyone changed these them selves. Chrissyp

when i start my car for the first time in the morning it runs lumpy as hell, if u touch the accelorator the revs drop dramatically, ive also noticed that when this happens i can hear a clicking noise coming from behind the dashboard on the drivers side. It sounds like a switch clicking on and off, this also happens without touching the accelorator the revs jump about and you can hear a clicking. Anyone know what this could be anyhelp please :smash:

  14. Hi all I have a question!! Can you use LRP in a Zed that's been DeCatted?? We all know they have to run on Optimax or Super due to the higher protection or Octane Percentage Level but my past mechanical experiance tell's me you should also be able to use LRP if you are catless as it's intended for pre 90 cars (without Cats)and has a Higher octane rating (We all know leaded fuel had a very high octane percentage) But that's Almost unavailable!!! you can still get it at some classic car garage's... The only reason you could not use Leaded was because the lead will make the cat useless within minutes of use. The only thing that i think of that could prevent the use …

Next on my list of jobs to do is an oil change. I have bought some Mobil 1 5w-50 fully synthetic oil and a new filter. What I want to know is whether it is worthwhile doing an oil change with a 'cheap' mineral oil first to clean the engine out?. I am not sure when the last oil change was done and so I was wondering if doing this intermediate oil change could be beneficial. I understand the potential problems of using a flushing oil and so I thought that using a cheap oil as a 'flush' could provide some of the benefits with none of the nasties. If it is beneficial to do this, how long should I run the cheap oil through the engine, 5 minutes or 500 miles!?!

Went to collect my car from the mot and it wasnt there! The garage said theyd taken it out on the road to test the Limited Slip Differential. Is this true or were they just using an excuse to rag my car? Anybody else had an MOT where they drive the car on the road?
