in my old zed if i switched the heater and econ on then turned the car off and on again the heater would restart at the temperature i set it (but with econ off) in my swb everytime i switch the car off and on again the temperature resets to the default temp and if i had the heater on before i switched the car off it wouldnt be on when i turned the car on. im guessing th that what happened in my old zed was correct so what's wrong with the swb? I just had my clutch replaced and noticed a wire trailing under the car near the middle/front of the gearbox area, I unplugged it from the smaller connector of these 2 - the other end is missing and has no plug attached so Im not sure where it goes. The larger of the 2 connectors has nothing plugged into it? Any ideas people? car seems to drive fine?

Round rear lights. NISSTEK sticker light blue/grey metalic on M25 passing A1 towards M1 05.00 hrs passed me in my van. I put the hazards on to attract attention and flashed as he passed. Sounded very nice and throaty.

Judging by the fairly unsubtle personalised plate, I'm pretty confident it was Big Roy! ;) I was in a dark grey MG ZT-T trying to find the Caterham MG dealer...

Is it just me or is it sometimes not very easy to read the level of oil in this? I tried it numerous times and it seems to me, you run the engine warm, stop leave for a while, then read it..the oil doesnt cover the dipstick properly for a decent readin, its on the wire, and also barely over the full length up to F but if i wipe it and do it again it then is low..its very unpredictable...Ryans done my crankshaft seal, so im still checking the levels as ive still got some oil under the motor (but it could have been rfom before) Just seems a bit difficult to get a decent level check....

Right, got my Zed import, with no manual for the interior stuff. So, how does it all work ? I assume by pressing AUTO its the air con or climate con, and you set to the temo you want. What does recon and economy do. i assume recon stops external air entering. what is the econ button ?? Also, how do i just get hot air to blow ??? cheers Dai

Had HICAS eliminator fitted... Had Rear strut brace fitted... Had new tryes... Had 4 wheel tracking... The rears are wearing on the inside only :smash: Why is this please? is it camber? or badly set tracking? and what should the tracking settings be please? CheerZ :duffer:

Hi Im a lover of the 300zx but they are extremely rare in Dublin. I was AMAZED to see a red 300zx driving through a local town near me. It was a nice example with an aftermarket front bumper and a 300zx.co.uk sticker in the rear side window. it was a 1990 example and if anyone has any more details of who owns it and where abouts its from i would be glad to hear

looking at putting some new back boxes on my zed, any one know what size the piping is as i will be getting some custom ones but they need to know size for the inlet

Anyone got a photo or drawing/pic of how the dipstick tube on a TT is routed/located. My old one is shafted and I need to pull it out and route the new one - the old one hasnt took the proper route and is kinked so I cant just push the new tube in the same area . . . . Thanks

hello can you all help me i have a 300 non turbo its a jap import i want a bit more power off the start line but do not want to go for a twin turbo . want more from my car i have changed the air fillter and taken the cats out and but stanless steel front to back but not manifold.what woud you say is the next step and who will be the best to get what ever parts i need off thanks for ya help.

Hello all, Cleaned all of my injector and coil pack connecters because I thought it would cure an erratic idleing problem but now it seems as if the car is only running on five cylinders. What do I do next? :headvswal I am going to fit all new connecters at the weekend. But what else could it be?

Saw 1 on saturday Black with shark front bumper, cream lether interior 2+2, private plate began with C, had VENOM REAR LIGHTS (6 POT) and spinners. was in residents car park behind lucas house at about 6pm. 2.A red one at putney original look (body and alloys.) I'm just in the process of removing the carbon canister, just wanted to check that I've got to pipe the fuel tank vent line to the small pipe on the bottom of the canister, that comes off the large pipe, it's the lowest pipe seems to disappear under the front crossmember.. :confused: All other vac lines to be capped. Can anyone confirm this is right? Also I'm going to strip the PRVR solenoid out as well is it just again a case of blanking off the vac lines?What do I do with the vac line going to the FPR? There is also what looks like 2 vac lines dissappearing into the inner wing near the battery :confused: Thanks anyone :) Jon..

as above the diagnostic for my K reg AUTO and Off 5 times dont do anything apparently I can get the car to tell me a load of different temperatures etc chris :cool:
