Hi Im a lover of the 300zx but they are extremely rare in Dublin. I was AMAZED to see a red 300zx driving through a local town near me. It was a nice example with an aftermarket front bumper and a 300zx.co.uk sticker in the rear side window. it was a 1990 example and if anyone has any more details of who owns it and where abouts its from i would be glad to hear

Anyone got a photo or drawing/pic of how the dipstick tube on a TT is routed/located. My old one is shafted and I need to pull it out and route the new one - the old one hasnt took the proper route and is kinked so I cant just push the new tube in the same area . . . . Thanks

What do I do next? :headvswal I am going to fit all new connecters at the weekend. But what else could it be?

I read on many forums about 0w and 5w oils being too thin. I will try to explain it without getting over technical and we'll go from there. 0w-40, 5w-40, 10w-40 and 15w-40 are all the same thickness (14cst) at 100degC. Centistokes (cst) is the measure of a fluid's resistance to flow (viscosity). It is calculated in terms of the time required for a standard quantity of fluid at a certain temperature to flow through a standard orifice. The higher the value, the more viscous the fluid. As viscosity varies with temperature, the value is meaningless unless accompanied by the temperature at which it is measured. In the case of oils, viscosity is generally repo…

I'm just in the process of removing the carbon canister, just wanted to check that I've got to pipe the fuel tank vent line to the small pipe on the bottom of the canister, that comes off the large pipe, it's the lowest pipe seems to disappear under the front crossmember.. All other vac lines to be capped. Can anyone confirm this is right? Also I'm going to strip the PRVR solenoid out as well is it just again a case of blanking off the vac lines? What do I do with the vac line going to the FPR? There is also what looks like 2 vac lines dissappearing into the inner wing near the battery  Thanks anyone :) Jon..

hi my 300 has been misfiring for a while and smoking quite a bit at idle so i spent all day saturday changing plugs oil, fuel filter etc etc, and it ran fine for about 20 miles. now i have a slight misfire (much better than B4 tho) between 2-3k revs but only when its not on the boost if i boot it and the turbos kick in it does not misfire at all between 2-3k revs, and it also has started hunting at idle but did this before i started swearing at it yesterday and now does it every so often! Any ideas anyone? is it unusual that my first posted thread should be in help and advice? lol  Rich

Water pumps If ever you need reminding the importance of using genuine Nissan parts only, then take a look at the link below. The pic shows two water pumps the one on the left is a genuine Nissan part, and the one on the right is a Blue Print one, Clearly the right hand pump impellor is smaller, has less fins and the depth of the pump bowl area is much shallower. It would be fair to say that the Nissan pump will do a better job of circulating the water. Makes you wonder how many zeds are driving round with the lower spec water pump fitted and the owner is blissfully unaware, in fact may in be quite content that the pump has been changed...any one…

Hi guys, I'm new round here, and am looking at buying a 300zx. I've been drooling at some pics on the net, till i can afford one, and came across this one which has to be the slickest zx i've laid eyes on. http://home.planet.nl/~paffe044/web/rdzx.jpg Has anyone seen this one before or have any more info on it...or any more pics? (It almost looks superimposed , but i think its a genuine phot) Although the link above works, i think its 'cached' in google. The site itself seems to be a dead link :(

I know it takes time for them to bed etc but the pedal is still softish Ive bled them properly and theres no leaks anyway so its not loosing pressure. I was expecting a little bite at least even my g/f's corsa has a sharp stop when you push abit harder ie throw your head forward whats wrong? chris :slap:

Hi to all, i've been wondering about importing stuff from the good old U S of A..compared to uk prices, as usual they seem to be much cheaper. I know about the problems of returning stuff , but generally is the process pretty pain free? What sites do youlot recommend. I've heard of courtesy and z motorsport. Are they ok to deal with? thanks to all who reply!! :hyper:
