Auto to Manual swap?

How easy is this to do, I'm thinking of getting a zx to use as a drift car, but all the suitable ones I can find are auto, is it an expensive or difficult job to convert it to manual?

    its time consuming and at a cost of approx £1200 inc manual box[2nd hand]
