I was wondering if i need to get a rear fog light for my ZX to get through the MOT. I dont like the sound of one of those stick on ones and was thinking of getting the round lambo style rear LED lights - do these include rear fog lights in them?? Z Man

Hi all,just been out in the rain and went to turn off the ignition and it ran on for a couple of seconds and the ariel stayed up and with the key out of the ignition the boost gauge goes up and down and all the hicas abs battery lights etc come on dimly then go off then on.It sounds like a short but any ideas where to look. I know I could ask John, but when I buy a chip I am wondering which one to go for. I have been told there are a few. Have a JWT in another car at the mo but wnat a different one I hope for up to 375bhp, fingers crossed etc etc. So exhaust, de-cat, Apexi, boost controller and chip. turbos from a r33 gtr v-spec? garret t28s with AR.42 intake and AR.48 exhaust compressor size - t3/50, exhaust size t25/62???

what size are the std speakers in the doors? and what is the biggest you can fit in without major mods? cheers

Hey everyone, there's a seller on Ebay selling Apexi filters for £25.99. I quizzed him about fitment and so on and hey says it comes with everything needed to fit the 300ZX. I'm going to get one and i'll let you all know if it fits ok then perhaps we could do a group buy. Can anyone tell me if a 70mm opening in the filter is ok? - thats the size it is. If it doesn't come with the right adapter i'm sure one of you lot can whip up a quick adapter plate for a few quid (i know someone who could too), would be a hell of a saving don't you think? Is it a lot of work/money to remove the stone chip around the lower sills and bumpers? I hate it! everytime i polish the car the smooth panels look mint but the bottom of the car looks a bloody mess cause the polish gets trapped in the stone chip.

Is it just me or do these cars have the most stupid and illogical ventilation control ever devised? All I want to do is direct air on to the windscreen without having the A/C going. I have pressed the ECON button but it does not work. I press the AUTO button and all i get is air from the dash vents. You can't even shut these off. I ask you WHY!!!!!!! Its a series 1 if that makes any difference.

Does Anyone Know If You Can Get Black Locking Wheel Nuts For A Zed? I Have A Set Of Black Enkei Lightweight Forged Alloys On My Car But So Far Have Been Unable To Find Any Black Locking Nuts To Match. The Only Other Option Is To Get A Set Of Normal Ones And Paint Them Black Myself, But Think It Will Look Crap. Any Help Is Much Appreciated. Thanks.

anyone with any ideas on this exactly a week ago i got in my car after a game of football started it and i could hear a tapping noise like a dodgy lifter but the car was still warm and i had never heard it before even when i started it in the morning when it was cold. The noise then ceased after about three minutes , since then every time i have started the car and finished my journey i have had my door open to listen for the tapping and i didnt do it again till today, and it was literally 5 minutes from turning the car off to getting back in it and starting her up is when i heard the tapping again but obviously the car was still warm if the lifters were dodgy you would e…

why is it that my newly installed sub sounds way better 6 foot in front of the car when its installed in the boot. If you stand at the back of the car all that can be heard is a nasty rattling. When inside the car it sounds ok 'ish but when i lean forward towards the windscreen it sound much better. What can i do apart from mount the sub on a trailer behind the car????

Right then, got my Tripple A pillar today and i have inserted the guages. They are all electric. There is the purple wire for the dimming so i ve shared that. No problem!. Theres the live 12v red wire. Ive shared that no problem! but the problem has come to light with the earth. The oil guage recommends that i earth as near to the sender as possible to get an accurate reading. So where can this be or does everyone just share the earthing?? My other questions are 1, How the fook do you get through the fire wall because i dont want to have to send the wires and turbo pipe all the way across to the ecu opening? 2, Is it recommended to wire up the new guages to th…

I have a Greddy EGT gauge with warnings that is foggy on the inside of the plastic. Ive tried to find a way into it without screwing it up. Are they sealed units or can you crack them open somehow :confused:

Roughly how long should turbos and other engine components for that matter last generally on a properlly maintained car? Could they be expected to last indefinately or is there a point where even a well cared for car will need them or other bits replacing? The reason I ask is that I have seen, amongst others, a UK 92 TT for sale with 89K on the clock. The add says imacluate car with FSH and loads of bills. Thanks
