 hi i have a 300zx tt manual which is standard at the moment. i was thinking of doing some engine modifications, but dont know where to start and what nto start with. something good but with reasonable price. also was wondering whether doing around 52 miles for £20(not booting it) unleaded is normal or not.

I'm going to have a look at some rims later on, they are 18 x 7in. Not sure if they'd be too narrow as tyre size would be 215 width max IIRC.

Hi - 1st time on the site - shame it's for the wrong reason! I've managed to do some serious damage to my car & am looking for a 300 accident repair specialist in Essex as I want someone who knows what they're doing to fix it. Skidded off the road trying to avoid another car & hit a raised manhole cover on the verge - has snapped the rear wishbones, maybe one of the front ones & I can't be sure yet if there is any frame or axle damage. Any pointers would be much appreciated. Lawrence

just noticed i have a problem with my interior light, inoticed on monday the interior light stayed on after i had opened then closed the door, the door open light on the dash also stayed on but dimmed when door was closed, took car out aftera about 15 mins running the interior light went back to normal and i could hear the relay click (which i could'nt before) so just parked car up and left it, just got home and noticed the alarm led was not on so got keys, and i've got a flat battery on further inspection the boot light was stuck on any ideas is it just the main interior light relay or is there another one for the boot light? thanks for any help in advance kev

I've got the window rattle problem and i've checked the bolts in the door pillar and they're tight. I've even had the doorcards off and checked every screw and nut i could find but everything's tight. What else can it be.? There seems to be play in the top guide, if i grip the top of the glass and move it back and forth sideways i can feel the play then. Is there some kind of washer that goes with the top guide bolt?

I am finding the TT a lot different from the NA, to say the least. The TT does seem to have a bit of a hole right at the bottom of the rev range. I don't know if it's the car, the autobox, or just me. In the NA I felt power from zero on up, but with the TT I feel the power beginning as the boost builds up (2,600 or so). I can understand that bit However, with the manual NA, although I was obviously going slower, I felt I was getting my peak power as it revved to just over five thousand, and I felt almost like I never needed to rev it higher. Now, although I am going faster, I think I always need to let the engine rev higher. What I am asking is- how far do you p…

Finally got round to converting kph to mph using the resistor way. Took out the r10 and replaced with 20k resistor. am not the best solderer going but it seemed ok. put it all back together and went for a test. as soon as i moved off the speedo needle started shooting up quicker than the rev counter!!!! Read 120 mph at approx 25mph true (from gps). then after that went back to zero and refused to move. tried to reposition needle but was still exactly the same. dont know wot went wrong. checked board again, all seems ok......... any ideas??? could i have damaged pcb.
