Offset Question

Just a quick question, im looking at buying a set of Mania Racing alloys but they werent originally bought for a z, the guy selling them said they should fit but might require spacers. He gave me the following information from the wheels:

 

PCD IS 5x114 ET 40

 

Is it just as simple as buying a spacer to move the wheel further away from the caliper or is it more complex than that?

 

Any help anyone can provide me will be most appreciated,
