well. ive just put me motor bk in and all is well except 1 slight prob! as i rev it up ( blip the throttle ) and then hold it at say 2.5 - 3k it keeps losein all power and will not rev but if i go slow with it its fine!! any ideas.. im got do an ecu check in a mo! thanx guys

I'm new on here so suppose first thing to say is Hello everyone! I'm thinking of buying a 300ZX twin turbo towards the middle of nxt year when i've got another years no claims. I was just wondering if theres anything to look out for in particular when buying them and i kno its all about how it been drven in the past but if theres a certain mileage things start to go wrong etc. Any advice will be much appreciated. Anyone know if you can get repair kits for hks coil overs,one of mines poped its seals. Didnt want to replace the shock as they are expensive.

Hi folks My car has stopped firing. The PTU was replaced so I have narrowed it down to either the fuel pump or fp relay which may be busted. A replacement pump is on its way to me but I thought that perhaps it could be the fp relay. How do you test the relay? Would bypassing the relay be ok? I shall do an ECU test but sure it'll give code 55. Also I shall clean the temp sensor connector and others properly. Thanks in advance Van

Where is the dim dip relay situated on the Zed? I am having problems with my drivers side headlight fuse blowing, when it blows the drivers side headlight goes out and the main beam comes on dim, checked wiring, swapped the two relays under the bonnet over for the headlights, that makes no difference so I want to look at the third relay just not sure where it is.

Hey guys Anyone got the slightest idea on what the recommended oil is? I got the viscosity but no manufacturers. Please help Don't want it to blow up! Next thing, where do i get my oil filter from? Can i get it from nissan? Thanx guys Rich

when I had the tracking checked this morning, I had a look under the car. There is some oil weep and stain at the back of the engine where the oil filter is, I couldn't determine where the oil was coming from. It doesn't (hopefully) seem too serious as no drips fell and my driveway is oil free. Anyone know where it may be leaking from and if it's potentially disastrous. cheers for any info.

Lol, thought i'd follow up on jims thread with another worry of mine but been scared to ask. Last few months getting a whistling sound (seems to be coming from around the passenger side dash. so it's turbo whistling ,so what, but are they on the way out? I've heard the exact same noise on a different z I almost bought last year and it put me off buying it. I always remember reading a review in topgear magazine in 1998 (when I was dreaming of owning a zed) called Cheap speed :rolleyes: (I know, even back then), and that guy quentin or whatever his name is said avoid whistling turbo's on a 300zx

I seem to have a side light which doesnt have a function At least none that I have found From the front centre of the car Yellow fog/side light in one unit Indicator/ ????? in one unit but two sections the rear one does not work I cant get it to work ?? What is it ?? I am being dumb I know it ...someone just tell me ?? Its the one nearest the road wheel on the picture below VVV

On idle, engine very very smooth, but you can faintly hear a cricket type noise. Is this idler or water pump...or something else?

hi im thinking on purchasing a pair of baileys dumpvavles for £220 on ebay, is this good or should i put a different make in my 300zx tt.also what is the difference between dump valves and blow off valves, whats better, and which make? :headvswal

Hi bud, i seem to remember you had all your wheels aligned when you had all your powertrix stuff fitted. where did you get this done as i need my fronts done by someone who knows what they are doing cheers

Think my matrix sprung a leak 2day...But being a plumber i'm not to bothered about it. But i could do with a few tips on how to go about removing the dash to get to the matrix...it's an jap auto tt 1990.... I just bought this morning the Volk wheels on the link below: Volks wheels I've already pay for them but now I scare that they will not fit my car... The wheels are 10x18 all four with 255/35/18 tyres on them and ET 5. I'm sure the rear will fit perfectly but the front??? Do you think this will fit? Thank you

hi can someone help me with this problem, went and started my car this morning and was sitting in it because i always wait for it to warm up before i drive off .When i looked out the passenger side window there was white smoke going past with the wind , i got out of my car and looked at the exhausts and there was white smoke coming out of the left hand side exhaust alwell as a bit of steam and the smoke smelt funny the smoke was not blue so much and didnt really smell like burning oil. As i reved it a bit it blew the smoke a bit thicker. But the amount of smoke was decreasing as the car was warming up, so i took the car out for a spin to observe if the car smoked more und…

do you guys get a lot of condensation from the aircon dripping onto the ground, especially after a long run? either that, or I've got a leak!! :eek:

Just had track rod end ball joint fitted to the rear left side. Thought this was the problem because there was play in the wheel. but the vibration is still there. every time I take off with a bit of power The vibration is very distinct, can feel it coming up through the centre console lid when my arm is resting on it. This is starting to worry me know. Prop shaft?
