Hi, Gonna hook up a Conzult and sort out my intermintent idling problem. What I need to know is exactly what sensors affect the idle so I can see what they are doing. IAA unit Air regulator Temp sensor TPS

my car has an annoying problem of leaking through the roof right onto my leg. was going to try to do it myself but its just started to leak on the passenger side too. anybody know what kind of places do it or where i can get this done properly? thanks alex.

How may of you have fiited HID lights 1. With the wiring conversion that alters the on off sequence. Mainly affects when you flash someone 2. Straight HID install leaving the switching as it was. Cheers

Just had my Z MOTed. Passed no prob :hyper: . On new system for moting my Z (ser 2 , 1993) does not have to have a cat test. So de cat coming up :D

I wanted to know where the dignostic port is located at on the 300zx tt manual and also whether it is a 16pin obd2 port????? :headvswal

I've decided to bite the bullet and get the zed back on the road - so will be changing the cambelt and a few other bits over the winter... Gonna order a kit, but remember someone mentioning you can get a recon kit for the tensioner rather than replacing - but can't find the post... anyone remember??? Thanks in advance Rich

I have the problem where there is no resistance in the lock when the key is turned, and you cant lock/unlock the door - does anyone know of a way to fix the plastic arm thats broken in a DIY fashion? Any help or ideas welcome! Thanks.

Black Zed in Grange road Gillingham around 9:50 this morning

No disrespect to the guy I bought the zed from, but I went to get the driver's seat fitted and the bloke I spoke to (locally respected for preparing rally cars) said the exsisting passenger's seat was dangerously fitted. Basically, I have these Recaro style seats, but no mounting rail or anything, just the original rails. The passenger seat has been welded/attached to the Nissan original rails. What should I do to get them fitted safely? Do I need to get some kind of hardware from the seat manufacturer, or is it going to be better in the long run to refit re-trimmed standard seats? I like the bucket seats and harnesess though and hoped to keep them. I was told the wa…

I was driving the Z the other day when a small haze of smoke just trickled out of the vents in front of the windscreen on dash?? I pulled over flipped the bonnet and nothing :confused: it only happened for a few seconds, misted the front windscreen then dissapeared?? Does anybody know what this might of been?? Cheers. P.s no other vents just the front windscreen ones.

ok my car has gone bananas it started coughing and spluttering at the top end and on hard acceleration the other day after it had been raining, has gradually got worse and worse until this morning. It wouldnt pick up the revs then when it did the car was shuddering and popping and banging. When i revved hard it actually popped a couple of flames!! stalled a couple of times and reluctantly got going again.. dont dare try to drive it at the mo.. I think my maf has gone bang... is this right dyou think or is it just possessed?? cheers

Wanted to put a new scuttle on my ZED Thats the plastic bit that surrounds the wipers along the bottom of the windscreen. Nissan wanted £140 squid ...my god ..gulp I am now trying to rub down the piece and get a good finish as it. It had sort of black spots on it. Then Ill re-spray.. Anyone else had a go at this item.

Hi all, Well finally got my autobox and convertor replaced. Now she is only running on 5 cylinders and loads of smoke is coming out of the driver side pipe. The garage reckons that I have a cracked cylinder liner and the only way to sort it is to do a full engine rebuild for 2.5k :shock: or get a reconditioned engine for about £800 quid and they will fit it for 1k. They also changed the plugs, did compression tests on all cylinders, checked injectors, spark and fuel etc. all fine. They think that the suspect cylinder is sucking up oil and that the plug/spark is igniting the oil and that is why all the smoke is coming out. I thought that if the compression …

Not seen many - what are they worth. I've seen a really good one 1990, with 60,000 miles. Excellent condition, but, horrible colour both in and out. Just wondering what they are worth. Anyone know?

Guys Can we list here all possible brake upgrades available. I have finally worked out to do my engine and prop, N/A diff, N/A subframe etc its all gonna cost me about £2k....... ;) Now, why is it you can go so much done for that amount of money then soon as you want decent brakes, its an astronomical amount!!!!!!! :mac1: :rant: So, possibilities are: 1) Misti Evo caliper with custom bracket...Ebay possibly? 2) R33 GTR (is it the 33? or 32?) kit....is this straight bolt on? on a 2+2 from the cat back, are they the same? any differences between the jap and UK spec pipes?

hey all. not sure if i actually have a problem but i don't know much about the zed. i have a 1990 j spec n/a that can only reach about 130mph on the clock. not that i've tried. honest. this seems a bit slow for a 3.0. i don't think its been derestricted but it has had the conversion to mph. any ideas? :confused: alex.

Hi, my TT is in the bodyshop haveing a veilside kit fitted and flip paint ( :hyper: ). im getting rid of the spoiler and rear wiper and also the aerial which brings me to my question, seen as im getting shut of the wiper ive no need for the washer jet so im thinking of putting a small bee-sting aerial in the hole were the washer jet is, does anyone know if this is possible and/or know of any problems in doing this. any sugestions would be apreciated Cheers Si

Anyone know how much travel there should be in the slave cylinder push rod? I'm still having problems with gear selection and I've pressure bled the system to death, adjusted the pedal travel to the top and adjusted the free play to give the maximum travel as well. I get less than 2cm travel. If anyone's got their car up on stands, I'd hugely appreciate someone measuring this so I can help locate the source of my woes! Cheers.

Ive got hold of mattys old Z, so its fairly modded, runnning a jwt chip, derestricted exhaust, apexi filter.. few other tweaks and my profec b is in the post..... so wondering how much boost is safe to run on a z... my old s14 was able to run 17/18psi fairly safe, but guessing thats not a good idea on this...
