In need of your ideas on the above issue :confused: The noise is louder when the engine is cold and seems to "rev" with the engine. Anyone have a clue? The idle is all over the place also, sometimes normal, sometimes hitting 2000rpm.....don't know if this is related? Cheers :bow: Justin

has anyone fitted R33 324 disk on a Zed with standard calipers, need brackets ASAP

I have a switch in my dash that works some rear foglights on the car...recently this was accidentally re-wired so the light on the switch was on whenever the side or headlights were on. Just tried to get it back how it was by swapping the wires over, heard something go click and now the sidelights, headlights and rear lights have stopped working. Also, when the normal dipped beam is switched on, the full beams light up and don't go on or off with the stalk :mad: The aftermarket foglight swith itself has 3 pins, one of which was going to eath, one taps into the stereo wiring loom, and the other goes to a black relay which itself has 4 wires coming from the bott…

I think ive found the problem with my speedo,it has a KPH to MPH converter in it. When i bought the car it had a clock wich went to 110 which was reading correctly.I then put a UK speedo in it and now its all over the place. The problem is what does the converter look like and where the hell do i find it? :headvswal :)

hi guys can i rack some of your brains my father in law has the above car . this problem has happened before to which he paid jag over 1k to fix it. they put it down to the ecu (£700 ) its now 4 months down the road and the dam thing wont start again..he needs the car to get to and from work so are there any common problems with these cars with regards to not starting as he cannot afford to put it back into jaguar this side of xmas thanks in advance gaz

Recently aquired a 90-91 swb 300ZX Twin Turbo. Noticed that whilst driving at night, the wiper controls to the left of the steering wheel are not illuminated unlike the other switches. Is this a fault I can rectify or is it actually how it was designed? Any suggestions/assistance much appreciated Cheers Tom

Hi Thinking of the viper wings and front bumper but can anyone tell me where I can get them fitted? I would like a reliable bodyshop, preferrably in Essex. They would obviously need spraying black (the fastest colour..). Rough ideas on cost? Cheers guys..

I have been on the dog and bone with zed world. They advised me that there are a few people putting Chevy V8's the 5 and 5.7 engines in there cars. This has got me thinking about NOS and should I spend more money on a NA or should I just scrap the engine and go for a new heart transplant. I can easily get ahold of a vette 5.7 tpi engine and 6 speed gearbox. Being in american car clubs for a long while (and being american) but in brittian. I feel that this is a good option. What do you lot think?

Does anyone know if you can see the exact date the Z rolled off the production like? Or do you have to ask nissan to reference the model number? I also need to know the same for an MR2. this is probably normal but when i first start the car in the morning it ticks over at 1600rpm and sound like its racing. This drops to normal once warmed up after about 5 minutes. I know this is to warm the car up but should it be this high? - can i drive off during this time so long as i drive normally until warm?

is anyone elses tailgate as heavy as lead? it seems to need a lot of force to get it up like the hydraulics are worn. My misses can't even lift it!!, surly it should be easier.

is it possible to make the car boost up earier by tinkering with the acctuator or is it possible to bring the boost in earlier at what revs can the turbos produce max boost??? also ive heard about if de-cat your car you are risking turbo failure due to the loss of pressure so if you keep the cats on but put a straight through pipe from the two cats to the back boxes this is ok

Hi, new member here. Ive been reading through the forums for a little while collecting information and so on. Come to the point where id like to ask some questions on buying a 300zx (TT pref) Also had a read through the buyers guide which was very useful and the service manual. 1) What is the minimum you should spend on a TT? (Ideally id prefer not 'the most you can afford, since i know this is the best way, but id like a minimum amount to aspire to) 2) What are the easiest ways of telling whether it is a UK or Jap car? Is it easy to tell from pictures in say autotrader, or is it more of one of those things where you have to get a good look up close 3)…

do any of you guys have a stillen type 3 rear wing on your zed ? Never seen one on here but would love to see some pics. The stillen catalogue has smallish pictures of it. I'm pretty sure it's the one i'll eventually pick, just need to see it from a few different angles.
