Recently aquired a 90-91 swb 300ZX Twin Turbo. Noticed that whilst driving at night, the wiper controls to the left of the steering wheel are not illuminated unlike the other switches. Is this a fault I can rectify or is it actually how it was designed? Any suggestions/assistance much appreciated Cheers Tom

Hi Thinking of the viper wings and front bumper but can anyone tell me where I can get them fitted? I would like a reliable bodyshop, preferrably in Essex. They would obviously need spraying black (the fastest colour..). Rough ideas on cost? Cheers guys..

I have been on the dog and bone with zed world. They advised me that there are a few people putting Chevy V8's the 5 and 5.7 engines in there cars. This has got me thinking about NOS and should I spend more money on a NA or should I just scrap the engine and go for a new heart transplant. I can easily get ahold of a vette 5.7 tpi engine and 6 speed gearbox. Being in american car clubs for a long while (and being american) but in brittian. I feel that this is a good option. What do you lot think?

Does anyone know if you can see the exact date the Z rolled off the production like? Or do you have to ask nissan to reference the model number? I also need to know the same for an MR2. I'm importing a few cars out to me in Canada and they have to 15 years old. I have two 1990 cars but not sure when in 1990 they were made. Thanks Andy

this is probably normal but when i first start the car in the morning it ticks over at 1600rpm and sound like its racing. This drops to normal once warmed up after about 5 minutes. I know this is to warm the car up but should it be this high? - can i drive off during this time so long as i drive normally until warm?

is anyone elses tailgate as heavy as lead? it seems to need a lot of force to get it up like the hydraulics are worn. My misses can't even lift it!!, surly it should be easier.

is it possible to make the car boost up earier by tinkering with the acctuator or is it possible to bring the boost in earlier at what revs can the turbos produce max boost??? also ive heard about if de-cat your car you are risking turbo failure due to the loss of pressure so if you keep the cats on but put a straight through pipe from the two cats to the back boxes this is ok

Come to the point where id like to ask some questions on buying a 300zx (TT pref) Also had a read through the buyers guide which was very useful and the service manual. 1) What is the minimum you should spend on a TT? (Ideally id prefer not 'the most you can afford, since i know this is the best way, but id like a minimum amount to aspire to) 2) What are the easiest ways of telling whether it is a UK or Jap car? Is it easy to tell from pictures in say autotrader, or is it more of one of those things where you have to get a good look up close 3)…

do any of you guys have a stillen type 3 rear wing on your zed ? Never seen one on here but would love to see some pics. The stillen catalogue has smallish pictures of it. I'm pretty sure it's the one i'll eventually pick, just need to see it from a few different angles.

what glue do u lot use as all the stuff ive used so far dont stick very well, ive tried loads . does everyone also clean off the old glue completely ??

Hiya folks. Just fitted an MPH chip to the back of the clocks. Followed the instructions and took the car out for a wee spin. Speedo reads what I cinsider to accurate - up to about 28mph, then flicks down a few times, then needle goes to zero. Over 28mph, reading is zero, at 28mph when slowing up, need le comes back to 28mph and accurately measures speed til rest. In short - speedo accurate under 28mph. All other speeds reads zero. I've fitted a few of these chips to other cars with no problems. Any ideas? Ive noticed my front wipers dont fully stop against the bottom of the windscreen... they are slightly up by maybe about 3 inchs, not much but bloody annoying, if i grease up the joints will this fix the motion....? or anything else someone could suggest?

Evening Gentlemen. ive recently ordered a 92 manual tt zed :dance: it should be here 19th of november. im looking at uprating the camshafts. something like some 286 cams. the only place i can find that actually does cams for the zed is stillen, but the price is a tad high. any ideas of who does them?? also is it worth getting some standard ones re profiled? cheers

The car spec is as follows: 1990 Uk TT SE Nissan fast road rebuild auto box that has only covered about 2000 miles and an uprated oil cooler. Hybrid turbo's fitted just after the rebuild box. Performance air filter Performance exhaust including decat pipes. JWT Chip Standard bodywork and wheels. I recently bought a Z. it was advertise as a Twin Turbo, unfortuntly after looking on this website realise it not, went back to the man and he say it was the advertsing company and well i couldnt do much abt it since i allready parted with my money. so, just wondering how badly is the non turbo compare to a turbo and is it worth upgrading it or better of buying a new Z.

Im thinking of swapping out my interior light for a more modern "theater" style (which fades slowly when the doors are closed..). And also thinking at the same time of swapping over tothe more soft light of the higher power leds around on the market.... Just wondering if anyone has done this before (save me reaching for the soldiering iron..) ... or if anyone else would be interested in a swap out unit or plug in swap...

Ive read in a few searchs these thing are not up to much, and mine seems to be proving no different.... it works as and when it wants really (well at least i hope thats the case and im not randomly running no oil pressure!!!) anythin i can do just to fault find whats going on...?
