I do not want to go to the expense of buying a polished plenum and water pipes inlets etc but what would I use to polish them up if I was to remove them? I've got my Dremmel and was wondering whether I could get a little attachment or two to do the job?

From a previous post I gathered that I probably need some better Shocks and Springs and maybe camber adjusting kit. Legrath recommended KYB shocks and Eibach springs as a good cost-effective solution. I have been looking around on the web and cannot find anything listed specifically for a 300zx. Can anyone recommend where I could get the parts I need, or similar ones at a reasonable price. Where is the best place to have them fitted - can any half-decent mechanic do it, or should it be a specialist?

Parked up tonight, and after a while went to start car, failed to start and noticed a strong smell of fuel, no obvious signs of fuel leak in engine bay... The car after then getting started began to idle irratically, and stalled, this was then followed by a loud wirring noise from back of the car and heavy fuel rich smelling smoke from the exhaust? Any idea's guys? Thank-you.............

Time for an oil chance. Been using Castol RS 10-60 over the summer, but am thinking of moving to Castrol RS 0-40 for the winter. My Reasonings being that the "0" Cold rating is better for the colder months at startup, where a lower cold rating can give better protection to a cold engine for the first couple of seconds. and the 60 hot rating, tends to apply to High mileage engines (less likely to leak), Tuned engines (generate more heat), and hotter months (heat reasons again). My engine is pretty much stock and low mileage. opinions ?

My zed seems to have quite a shockingly noticable negative camber. It has been lowered (I don't know how much) on (what seems to be) Munroe Sensatrac shocks. 1. Are they half-way decent shocks? The ride is pretty bone-shaking. 2. Should I be worried about such a noticable camber? I don't know what it should be like if the car is lowered. 3. The wheels are 19" Superlegerras. I have not investigated but it really looks like the offset is wrong. The wheels sit back under the arches much more than my old zed. Can anyone shed any light for me. It's another area where I am too ignorant. Thanks.

I have owned my Zed fro 3 weeks and now experienced my first electrical gremlins. 1) Wipers run continuously on their own. this problem occurs now and then. Any hints or suggestions would be welcome. The green and black wire from the motor is constantly at 4.5 volts when the failure occurs at the wiper switch. I think this could be a park switch issue on the motor but i will have another look tomorrow 2) My drivers door window will not go down. I have stripped the switch down and it works ok (the output for the relay pack goes to ground when the switch is pressed). I guess the window amp could be broken. A couple of searches on the forum point in this direction …

So, I went round to PJ's this afternoon to pick up some PCV valves for my Zed as it keeps dumping oil every so often.....and on startup...AND blows has blown the dipstick out. Last few weeks have been boring...I've not taken it over 3k rpm and have always kept the turbos in vacumme as much as I could. On hard acceleration originally, it used to smoke a bit...all the time. Didn't when I first bought it and have only covered about 1000 miles. Anyway, attacked the drivers side first....erm, pipe split, bit a bit of 'modding' and all was well. Bit awkward to get off, but refitted it. Then came the passenger side. What a complete and utter mare. Before I started…

Hi All :) Took the zed out this morning for a drive and wondered if any of you guys could shed some light on the following: 1) From a cold start she is VERY slugish with little throttle response and then a sudden jump. This clears up as soon as the engine is hot. 2) In Park the revs are at 1500 regardless of engine temp (surely too high  ) when ideling in drive the revs are 1000. 3) There is also a smell of petrol at idle. Could this be due to the high revs or a fuel PSI problem???? Any and all advice gratefully recieved :D

hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and much more familiar with skylines than 300Z's, I gota say that I'm very impressed with the amount of knowlege that people have here on the site. I was Kinda hoping that someone might be able to help me out with a bit of info. I have done a search on the forums and spent a couple of hours reading through different posts, hoping that I would find what I was looking for, but didn't have any luck. I have a R32 GTS-T skyline non type-M (thats right folks the one with the little GTS Brakes but it at least has 5 stud wheels) And was going to do a brake conversion, using 300 Zx discs and calipers. The brake discs, lines and calipe…
