I'm just finding out about my new car -all the things the previous owner had got used to and probably didn't think twice about. I've already asked about the autobox today. I washed the car and hadn't noticed this previously - the driver's door where it meets the front wing seems to have a very slightly bigger gap than the passenger's door. It seems to be very slightly 'pushed in'. There is no sign as far as I can see of any accident damage at all. Is this 'normal' - I mean for both doors to have very slight differences in panel gaps, or does it indicate accident damage. I had a good look at the car, in the engine bay to that side, at the door hinges and couldn't see anyth…

This really is a simpleton's question, but can someone explain to me in really simple dense people's language what the overdrive button does, and also what power and hold are for. I kind of have a vague idea that the power button holds the revs at a certain level but I really don't have a clue. I don't know either how you are actually supposed to use them when driving. I would be very grateful to anyone who could explain it to a moron. I'm not sure how smooth the auto gearchange should be. I seem to remember on my auto Soarer it was very smooth - so much so that I can't remember noticing when it changed up at all. On the 300 I can feel it change and the note of the r…

I have done a search with no luck as yetm but will look again - I have not driven an automatic zed before and I just wondered how you check/fill the automatic transmission fluid. I also wanted to top up the Power steering fluid level, but it's a right pain to check the level- I can see the scale on the rod under the fluid resevoir cap, but I can't tell how much fluid is in there, which I guess means it needs topping up. There are two little plastic washer things that seem to get in the way. Do I just put in a bit of standard ATF?

Has anyone done a write-up about this- I had a search but couldn't see one in the FAQ section. Is it something that is so easy it doesn't need instructions, or is it a pain?

Went to drive off in the old zed jap auto tt to day, it did'nt seem to want to pull away as quick as it normaly does in first....So i drove it arround the block and returned home. I left it 10 mins or so, and went out to check the fluid levels in the box :smash: , then restarted it. Then i noticed that the little orange power warning light was flashing..It's never done this before  ???? it then stopped flashing and the car then seemed to want to pull away as normal....What doe's this meen....Can anyone help. P.S the power light that was flashing is the one which illuminates when you flick power switch on the auoto box. Cheers for any help Col

Just fitting Jspec fogs to my UK TT. Should the Jspec front fogs also act as side lights? Seems to be 3 wires into into the lamp housing and my current UK connector seems to make them come on in "dim" mode when side lights are switched on. What's the norm peeps? CheerZ Steve :)
