hey guys can you please help ???? i fitted a stereo in my car today, now when i turn the lights on only the full beam comes on and as soon as you turn the lights on , the sidelights and main beem dont work also the rear lights dont work and the lights around the speedo dont work but all the other electrics do is this a fuse ??? if so where is the fuse box ?? i checked under the bonnet and i can only find a few fuses but mostly relays any ideas ????????? jim zx

whats that beeping i can hear everytime im in reverse, sounds like a truck reversing. Its a bit embarasing cause everyone looks. Can it be silenced?

Hi there,can anyone help? When i went to start the Zed earlier i noticed once i had drove off that the ABS light was on and a buzzing noise from the rear(fuel pump sound)When i turn the car off the the buzzing sound can still be heard from the rear?Sounds similar to the fuel pump when the key is turned but the fuel pump sounds ok as it runs for a few seconds when the ignition is on then goes off as the car is ready to be started. Anybody had the same problem,any advice would be great..thanks in advance

Had 300zx TT now for few months and thinking of taking it somewhere to get it tuned, only place near me ive heard of is 'the garage' in Wishaw, does anyone know of any other good places to go near Glasgow area?

Ok, I have come to the end of my rope and don't know what else to try? The Main beam on my headlights doesn't work even though the blue light on the dash lights up to say that they are on :smash: I have checked the relay, fuses, bulbs, wiring and they still DON'T work, now I am at a loss????? Anybody have any suggestions :cry:

I'm currently trying to drop in my new (re: slightly old) engine, only trouble is I get the Autobox and engine lined up but they won't go the last quarter/half an inch and when I try to tighten the bolts it just starts to bend the flywheel. The Autobox shaft and the Torque converter are lined up fine and they bolt to the flywheel ok, and I'm using my original flywheel so its not a auto/manual flywheel mismatch. The only thing I can think of is that I've somehow put the flywheel on back to front, but I'm pretty sure I took extra care to put it on the right way round (I'm not so sure now). Does anyone have any pictures of an auto flywheel attached to an engine …

Does anyone know what problems this warning is aware of. The yellow plain dash warning light flashes several times on start up and from the owners handbook this means there is a problem with the A/T. I assume there could be several reasons for a warning but does anyone know what they are?

Hello again, As some of you may know, my autobox died on me a couple of months ago, and my zed has been standing ever since. Got new autobox and conveter fitted and low and behold loads of smoke from driver side exhaust. Now she is only running on five cylinders so am sorting that out. But could the smoke be because of a jammed turbo, is it possible that the smoke could be from this and if so how do you free it off. :smash: Thanks in advance!

I noticed what i think is my exhaust blowing from near the front, it seems to come from the area in-line with the door hinge - drivers side or possibly further forward. It's not that bad at the moment. I've had a quick look but I honestly have no idea what i'm looking for/at. The rest of the system looks pretty old and rusty so i'm preparing myself for the worst. Can anyone tell me whats in this area of the system e.g. where downpipe joins system/cat?, what might be buggered and any recommendations on a system/prices to expect and suppliers. Thanks

You've probably had this post before but i can't find what i'm after in the search. My handbrake is high, the adjustment by the handbrake lever is at its max, so is there any other adjustments i can make? or are my shoes worn? Thanks lads!

Hi The Zeds use t25 turbos from what I can gather, these units spool up v fast but generate lots of heat, ( found this out on a 620ti as they use t25's ) can anyone tell me what the intake temps are after the I/C's , and can the T28 be fitted from the 200sx as this was a straight swap on the Ti. As you probably know money situation has been pretty bad so my shorty had to go a week & 1/2 ago (Sad Time).So now I've got some 17" ,3 piece split rims (5 SPOKE) that I'm thinking of selling.The tyres are not legal. 9j rear & 8j front.Was going to get them refurbed as kirbz had his done very reasonably & recommended the bloke to me.If refurbed they'd be cracking wheels.I know when they were new they'd of cost a lot of money.Just wondered if anyone could give me a ball park figure what they should be worth as they are?Got some photos but couldn't put them on (too big ,tried to reduce, no joy).But if anyone can help with my question PM your e-mail address and …

help i seemed to have activated a device on my car which turns it invisable....this cloaking device is really starting to annoy me as every damn t*at in the world wants to merge there damn car with mine!!!! how can i turn this off or do i have to :smash: some sense into the nobs on the road gurrr

yep another problem..fix one thing and another breaks! this time I have somehow broken off the copper/brass(looks like the brake lines) whatever it is end whilst trying to take off a leaky powersteer hose I was going to have replaced. Its located under the engine and where the copper meets the 1 inch rubber hosing..I need to re flare it so does anyone know what size this pipe is cause I need to buy a flare kit and I dont know if its metric or imperial or if this matters? Has anyone done anything this stupid and annoying to their car? Its such a pain in the ass to get to as well and all covered in powersteer fluid too..I thought it was undoing a little bit easy too b…

the little bolts on the manifold heat shields seem to have rusted to the point where i touched one of em with a spanner and it rounded off! can i get at any of the manifold to head bolts without removing the shield, or can i prize it off? (oh yeah, this is to remove the heads with the engine in situ)

guys there must be someone out there in Zed land who can help me :( ..im pulling what is left of my hair out...i can not find the fuse that has blown that feeds my wing mirrors and dashboard digital clock and intermittent wash wipe .... :xxx: :xxx: i have checked in engine bay and .......nothing !! ..all fuses are fine checked with multi meter and no ziggies so it must have popped a 'topsecret" fuse somewhere . :( .has anybody else had a problem like this ..i have checked the on line owners manual and i cant see on there where the fuse is .... :cry: not bothered about the clock but the mirrors are ticking me off .....and you never realise how much youuse inter…

Kev is your zed auto or manual? I could do with borrowing a speed sensor to double check replacment @ 160 quid will cure the problem. Its only one 10mm bolt and 1/2 hours work to swop over! :)
