The car has a few minor creases in the doors so I phoned up a couple of the paintless dent removal firms, who seemed quite confident they could do something about them, depending on where they are situated on the car.

 

Is it worth doing? or does this process sound good and not really work?

 

Will a standard body shop ever remove minor dings like this or is the only real way to get the panels filled/re-painted? I'm going to see XL in Coventry who did an excellent job on my last zed but I'd like to have a better idea of what to expect before I go.

Just saw a demo of this on some crappy program on men & Motors - yes it does definitely work, as long as the paint isn't broken.

they came to a collegue in work. Dent size of palm in his wing. Way too deep for removal with sucker.

 

Took him 40 mins, but you would never know it had been there !!!

What about small creases that you can't really feel, so aren't that deep, but you can see in the light? Will it remove them, or does it have to be a definate pushed in part of the metal?

Not sure, though they claim they can sort anything as long as its not too big. I'm sure they will come out and give you a quote too.

I phoned a couple and they say they will come out but seem a bit reluctant - they'd rather have you come over to them. I'm going to go over at the weekend and see what they can do. It seems like one of those things that's too good to be true. The rough price they gave me of between £30 to £50 a panel also seems quite reasonable if it means you don't have to get it resprayed. I'll have to let them have a go and see how it works out. Has anyone here had it done to the zed?

A mate of mine has a Dents Away franchise in Gloucester, I will vouch

that it works very well, as long as the dent has no crease and it is

accsessable. He did some paint work over a scratch on my silver 2+2

amazing is not the word! would never known it was ever there.

This is oviousley only as good as the opperator tho!
