does anybody know the difference in size between the SHORT THROW GEARSHIFT and standard one? i got a nice shiny one from e-bay, went to fit it and it seems to be the same length as the one already in there... thinking in may have a short throw one already fitted :confused:

bought a s/h apexi filter fitted it took the z out last night (heavy rain) as soon as i hit 3000rpm i hit safty boost checked it this morn and the filer has sucked in some water somewhere 2 questions do you need a splash gaurd with a apexi filter?(my k&n was ok on car) and do you need to oil a apexi? atb kev

random daft question, but does the 300 have variable intermitantcy wipers... my old 200 had the ability to change the pausing period of the wipers when on the intermediate mode and i found it very usefull. Just wondering if the 300 has the same....

could someone give me some advice please. I had a warning light on the dash that stayed for about 30 secs then went out again, it was the third one in from the left on the bottom left of the dial cluster and looks like a box with heat lines coming out of the top. Someone said they thought it was to do with the cat, HELP cheers

I've had an oil leak for a while which does leave a tiny amount of oil on the driveway. A garage told it was leaking at the crankshaft and that the gearbox would have to be dropped to fix. Also something about blowing oil back into the..something. reason I can't remember exactly what he said is because i had just been way overcharged :mad: (a long story) by them for something else, And was seriously pi**ed off when i left. Anyway, I've kept an eye on the level everyday and it's fine. But it's a constant worry to me 'til I get it fixed. Is dropping the box the only way to repair it?

What needs doing to remove the Drivers side A Pillar - Im removing my pod and am fitting a new A-pillar in its place and dont want to damage owt. Cheers

Hi guys, since one of my rear subframe bushes has split, I am thinking of replacing only the 4 subframe bushes with polyurethane ones. is it possible to just lower the subframe and change these four bushes or do I have to remove the subframe completely? secondly, what do you guys recommend I use to remove these bushes, some sort of puller maybe? thanks darren

hi all, how much power will a uprated auto box take as not sure weathwer to go for a uprated auto or manual conversion. also is this paddel saw any good ? any help and advice would be very welcome. thanks :confused:

They need to know a few things that some of you more teccy owners may know the answer to: 1) I have told them I want to go to either a 3.1/3.2, what oversized pistons and rings would I need? Car overheated last week.....two hoses split........was checked by a 'sniffer' for unwanted gases....afraid this test came out positive......was given a quote of at least &1400 depending on other damage that may have occured......is a reconned engine a sensible alternative.......any advice appreciated....thanks in advance....STEVE.... :(

Having only recently aquired a '91 swb 300ZX, which had remained garaged for almost a year, I was a little alarmed to see the anti-lock brake warning light illuminate when I started the engine. As I've not yet managed to get hold of a drivers operational manual (currently out of print) could somebody please advise me if I should become really worried yet. The brakes seem to be working fine at present. Thanks, Tom

Im having funny electrical problems with my 1990 J Spec Z32. All the electrics in the car work apart from Electric Mirrors Front Wipers Display for the aircon - does not come up at all Cig Lighter Car Time Clock Ive checked all the fuses over and over again and it all seems OK. Ive also noticed one relay from the engine is missing. This is the SUB FAN relay, coupld this be causing the above problems ?
