Guest TomB Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 When I first start the car in the mornings and at most times of the day from cold I get a horrid whining. It sounds like one of those crappy old cars going past howling. It stops after a few minutes but by then the damage is already done. Any ideas? Quote
Guest Sgt C Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 If it sounds like a goose then it may be your re-circ valves  Quote
The-Shorey Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 if its high pitch squeel then i think thats fan belt Quote
Clarkey Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 yeah sounds like fan belt, hardly the fault of the century, just get it tightened or maybe at worst you'll need a new belt, all of a fiver or so :p Quote
greg Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 either your alternator belt ;) or you have left the misses gaged up in the boot still to solve this problem sell the z and the whining will soon be over :D Quote
Guest TomB Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Thanks for the help boys. I was thinking of the fan belt myself actually. It can't be the missus cos I have her tied up in the house like all good girls should be. I shall look at tightening the belt first. On the car that is, not her. Quote
