while I was replacing the rear stock speakers yesterday I had the boot and all its trimmings taken apart, and decided to get rid of those annoying cardboard peices that the carpet sit on. But it's very noisy now! I have a plan to buy one of those soundproof carpet thingies which are self adhesive and you just cut around. So If I chuck out the excuse for a spare wheel aswell , lay the fabric and bolt my bass tube directly to the floor, i'll kill two birds with the one stone.Anyone tried this?

a tailpipe insert... It looks like a fat CD that slots into the tailpipe then bolts up through a small hole on baked-bean-tin sized aftermarket exhausts. I got a Veilside system with 5" tailpipes and i love the noise, however my neghbours dont :xxx: Mrs also has a MX5 with a full s/s system - her's is even worse. Been through, over and under Ebay but nothing. Any ideas? Thankyouplease

my grandparents inlaw(who are both in there 80's) have an 806 diesel which they took to a main dealers to get repaired for excessive smoking engine.they replaced a couple of injectors and they said "the blue smoke was caused by crankshaft woodruff key damaged and caused pulley to move out of time. they have supposidly replaced this new belt ect and a service which cost them a total of £600. they have had the car back a couple of weeks but now it wont even start at all now. when i saw it the batt was flat but tried starter pack on it car turned over but not wanting to go? really want to help them as £600 is alot of money for them to shell out without having the car…

OK guys im stuck on so many choices of boost controllers. I will be getting my ECU upgraded in the next few weeks followed by fitting of a Apexi induction kit and boost controller. There are so many electronic boost controllers out there but always seem to be very expensive for the same job as a manual one. The only reason I like the electronic ones is that you have an incar adjustment and another colourful electronic widget to play with. Which ones do you guys find good and where did you buy them. Also Manual or Electronic?? :( TIA Dave G

Ok, I know I've read something in this forum a while back about converting a series 1 car to have a series 2 seat belt bolting points, though I dont think anyone actually said YES you can. Seeing as Kirbz is selling the rear interior and seat belts I'm just wondering if anyone knows if this is poss? Mostly just to convert the rear belts to a 3 point and if I can get the front belts off the door then all the better!

Any ideas guys. Ive looked today in the fookin snow and noticed that there are two pumps for the jet washer. The problem is is that my front pump has stopped working? So what i have had to do is swap the pipes around so the rear wash jet works the front for the mo. Is there a fuse ? Ive checked the footwell but found no fuse blown there? :headvswal Is it common??

I have a blitz ecu fitted at the mo, but im running about 15psi and looking to fit bigger injectors and FMIC etc etc next year, anyone got any ideas how i can tune my ECU to work with this stuff or do i need to rip the chip out and change it? seems a shame as im sure it must be worth a bob or 2!

Anyone help with this small problem I have, I bought an adaptor for my scart socket on my TV that branches to 5 so that I can have the kids DVD player/ PS2/X-BOX all hooked up at once to the TV. When PS2 or DVD is put on the sound has to be put up full on the tv and has interference coming throught it. I have unplugged the X-BOX scart lead from the adaptor and the sound is fine when playing the PS2 but as I say when all 3 are connected the sound doesnt work. :headvswal Cheers John Crisp
