Were there any changes in the manual gear boxs in the z32 from year to year? just standard ones of course.

Right, getting my gearbox oil changed along with a new prop bearing, main seal and diff oil change. Few things I'm interested to know. Heard the dreaded story about prop shafts needing to be reconditioned....what goes wrong with these and why to they go wrong? I'm not suspecting it is shagged, but need a little insight into things. Car's done low mileage and I have the symptoms for prop bearing, so not suspecting anything else, just wondering though. Anyone changed their dif oil? Any recomendations?

not sure if its of any use if anyone is looking for speakers right now but i went into Maplins the other day....and found some perfectly good in-car speakers on special for £7.99 reduced from £23.99...same size as front door ones...wasn't fussed with the brand as i dont listen to radio or music much when driving...but there you go should do nicely seeing as my stock ones are blown...bargain

ok, I know this sounds like a dodgy question, but I've just bought a set of UK clocks to replace my Jap set, and want to adjust the miles on the new set so its correct for my car when I fit them. What is the best way to do this......perhaps it would be best to PM me the answer.

Ive just got a 99 spec rear panel but im not sure how to wire it up! Its got the converter coming out of it and 2 wires off the converter - how or what do i wire these up 2????? Thanks

I need some new wheel nuts and locking wheel nuts for my car. The only difference is I have on 19inch Wheel Mania Pacifics and the holes are not very wide. Does anyone know where I cant get narrower wheel nuts, or what size I need. Also I want some better locking wheel nuts, again they need to be narrow. Thanks Barry

On the stock shifter for an N/A auto, there seems to be a 'button' at the base of the shifter. It's bright red/orange and is situated in front of the lever itself. Anyone know what this is??

My girlfriend ordered the Apex'i dump valves for my birthday (last friday!) a good couple of weeks ago now, and Ive been told the money has been taken about a week ago, but the dump valves still havnt come through the post?! OK my car is half stripped for 60k service, and then without doin anything it started leaking oil, and on closer inpection it looks like its comin from the back of the engine. Does this mean engine out?? if so is it as big a job as it sounds?? If the engine can be left in, what am i lookin for?? I hear of peeps with the likes of the 200sx sayin they have the engine in and out all the time, easily, but I'm sure its not that easy on these big buggaz, but as all the rad stuff is out of the way, thought now was a good time ;) Please gimme as much info pointers as possible, as I wanna get this sorted while the cars apart, and don't wanna fook it up :( Chee…

I want to buy a momo handbrake kit but cannot or they have stopped doing a universal kit, which is what the search points to. Anyone buy one recently or can advise which one to buy. I have been looking into this or about 3 weeks now and even people who sell them say 'no sorry your car is not listed (nissan) but I know a lad who has one fitted' FFS :D Any help guys??

hi folks. am thinking of buying a zx in the new year and was wondering how much everyone has spent in repairs and maintenance since they've had theirs? I've got enough to buy a nice one and insure it, but need to know how much more i'll need in the bank in case something goes tits up (hopefully it won't as I want the best I can afford.. which isnt loads but just enough) Any help much appreciated!

I took my expansion tank off today to see why I was losing water from my radiator so much, It was full to the top with water way past the min and max marks on it, I think the main reason for this is my radiator cap is the original 92 one, which seems a right pain to take off, so I presume its not releasing the pressure properly. Would this cause the expansion tank to over fill and release water?? I have sorted a cap now. Thanks in advance. ;)

does anyone know if the red dot (next to the gear lever) that indicates what gear is selected is supposed to be lit up at night as it's nigh on impossible to see in the dark.

Need some help; always loved the 300zx but most I loved the SWB model as matter fact I am strongly thinking about buying the swb, but I really hace this dilema, if you would have to buy between the SWB and 2x2 why would you choose one or another? I mean can anyone please give me some helpful hints on the comparison and good and bads about the SWB compared to 2x2? and viceversa? some folks quoted me that SWB is less stable on the road than the 2x2, weights less and is shorter in lengtgh is this correct? What would be the good and bads about both models? need some help merry xmas all!

I'm in a pickle and I need some help from the club - please. The DVLA refuse to register my new import without a letter from Nissan to state when the vehicle was manufactured. As you can imagine Nissan wont help me so i'm stuck :rant: I called the DVLA in anger and they said that if I had a letter from a 300zx owners club they would register it - so ....... is there any chance the club can help me -please??? Fingers crossed!!

Have recently fitted the st/st braided clutch hose and a new clutch master cylinder piston/seal kit. Was all okay for a while but now i am getting variable pressure when pressing the clutch down. Some times it feels like there is asistance other times none. Do you think i've got a leak on the booster pipes? Could it be air trapped in the system? Or worse? Any help is greatly appreciated. 1 when i started my car this morning the hicas lights came on then swithced off after 15 mins. im sure the fluid level is ok 2 when i turn the key just before i turn the ignition on the stock turbo gauge goes just to th increment after o is this normal? then wheni switch on my car it goes to just below the 7 and boost to just below plus 7. could this be anything todo with code 34 cus that what i get.

as im sick of bein viewed as a tight b*****d haha
