Hi, got some nice side skirts to fit during the cold winter months but just wandering what the best way to do this is. They come with indent to rivet or screw into the sills but that means drilling holes through the sill, which I didn't think was very goog idea. My question is will they hold ok with just bonding glue or do they really need riveting, what has everyone else done? Pics will follow when the kit is all on and sprayed (prob June!). :hyper:

ok I'v removed rad and pipes as far back as poss, thanks to your replies to Stellaz, ya5een  firstly my question is, is the idler highlighted green in pic 1 the same one as in pic2 with red arrow?? If so, can i remove this? as it looks like it add some tension to the timing belt. Please advize. finally, it was mentioned that to remove the bolt at the rear of the compressor a flexi-socket is needed. WTF is a flexi-socket?? I have never heard of such a thing. cheers in advance Mike

As I am trying to sell my car I am getting it run on a Dyno in January to get its BHP on paper to help sell it, and I would also like a Conzult check done on it to just so I can say its been Conzulted as well and it has come up fault free etc, it all helps to sell the Z. I had Nissan do a check a few months ago and it came up fine but I would like the Conzult done as well. Thanks in advance. P.s preferably Devon area.

  6. First of all, apologies if something along these lines has been posted before, but after a lengthy trawl, I can't find it.... My problem is that I'm after buying a 300 next year, roughly about april/may time. I was pretty easygoing with getting a Jap or UK car, but a friend recently told me that import cars are more trouble than their money's-worth. This has put me in some serious doubts, as it seems there are a lot more Jap than UK cars available out there. Has anyone got any advice or information to either counter his claims, or show a non-financially-suicidal way of owning one of these beautiful pieces of road-engineering art. Yours Hopefully Kyy

  9. I don't know, this weather: might be great for the turbos, but boy does it bring out the gremlins. Earlier this week my ABS pump relay stuck on again, although now I know how to sort that out so not a big problem... no dead battery this time around. But now it's the HICAS. I noticed this first yesterday evening when I went to change the oil. Car was cold, and hadn't been driven for a couple of days, so I started the engine to get it warmed up. Warning lights came on as normal and then all switched off again, apart from the HICAS light, which stayed on. Anyway, I pottered around, got the jack and everything else out, made coffee. Probably took 10 - 15 minutes o…

Hi, Went out today to fit the new Baileys BOVs which came. Took ages to get eveything off, and what a pain it was. When replacing everything. I thought I was done but forgot to put one of the caps on and tried to start it. It ran for a bit OK, then cut out. Fitted cap onto the correct hose, then all it does it start for 1/2 a second then cut out. Any ideas on the problem? Thanks in advance, Dave G
