General Discussions - 300ZX Related

I want to move the side light from the fog light to the secondary sections in the indicators. Now iirc, the US spec cars have them in this section too. Looking at the backing, there's recess plates already there. Is it litterally a job of just drilling this and the side light bulb holders slot in as per the fog lights or is there more work?

Hello Guys My buddy has a set of greddy TD04 15g's with everything that comes with them new from greddy.and he wants 750 pounds for them.They are like new condition with no shaft play at all...are they worth it let me know..

Wondered if anyone could help i smashed car up yesterday damage is front wing bonnet front bummper steering rack front bottom arm anit roll bar rear hub asembly drive shaft possibly back axal (damaged to small lugs near shocker mounting) The car is 1990 tt auto jap import So my question is is it worth repairing or brake it if i were to brake it what are the avarage prices i should be looking at for part thanks in advance steve

Well its great to be back in the UK and Zeding again, however I knew I had to do the Matrix whilst i'm back as when I left in the summer the interior was getting flooded with coolant. Just got the matrix out, only took 2.5 hours, far quicker than the last time when i removed the dash! Anway just done a pressure test and its not the Matrix but the valve on the side thats gone. As I bought my matrix in the states the shaft on the valve is round the wrong way. Has anyone switched the shaft before and had no leaks? Also can you just buy the valve from nissan UK? Thanks Andy

Who sells the jap aftermarket dip beam bulbs which are stronger than the nissan ones? i've got one candle and one brighter candle. :( Cheers, Mick.

ok started the car up today and their appears to be a noise like a sticking fan coming from the inside of the T Bar by the 2 spotlights there are 2 slots by the lights anybody know wot this is :mad:

OK, was having gear change issues so thought I should check the TPS settings. Was sitting on 11.21v :eek: When turned fully anti clockwise would go to 13.4v and fully clockwise will go to 7v at the lowest. New TPS needed???

Saw a Black 2+2 ZED heading towards Charlwood yeaterday about 2pm....

when im cruising at any speed and i lift off the throttle the car starts coughing and spluttering then when the gas is back on its fine? ive checked all clutch vacumme hoses and cleaned all connectors but everythings fine, the only code i have is 33 oxygen sensor, but i reset that and it has'nt come back, any ideas 300zx family?

Long distance journey today, in the wet. Accelerating hard off slip-road when at 80mph and about 5k it felt like I hit the rev limiter...hard!. Then for the remaining 30mins motorway driving at a steady 70mph every few minutes it did the same...a hard jolt, like engine cut out, complete loss of power for a second then it will carry driving on again. Occasionaly it would do it repeateadly for a few seconds as if I had run out of fuel. Had only just put £20 in it and was on a 1/4, but I Stopped at services and put some more petrol in and it would'nt idle, cut out, had to rev it to start it and keep it running. 20mins down the motorway later it stopped doin…

what sort of fuel return would you expect out of a non turbo zx driving steady. mine seems to drink it, checked for leaks and it does not smell of petrol. JUST had a major service and runs sweet as a nut, cheers woody

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between brake master cylinders for a twin turbo and non turbo is? they have different part nos. thanks.

Due to some highly unfortunate circumstances, it seems the zed is now mine for the keeping. It wont be going anywhere for quite some time due to the fact(s) that I am a poor student, and that I dont have a drivers lisence. Anyway to the point, it is due for a new timing belt, its done over 60k and if I am right in assuming it is still on the origonal belt, it will be 14 years old now. It will deffinatly be changed before I drive it anywhere. Inspired by a thread on another forum, it came to me that I might as well have a bash at it myself, after all it cant be THAT difficult can it, and I have a LOT of time in which to do it.
