I have done a search for this but have not found anything so here we are asking questions again! The autobox on my Z is slowly dying. I know this and have accepted the fact. At the moment I can drive around the problem but obviously need to get it sorted. I have found a few places offering boxes but due to past experience I would like to make sure they are the correct unit. To do this the part number and any other details would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1990 Twin and it has the little buttons on the dash for power and hold if that makes any difference. Thanks all!

I finally got round to having my falken tyres as recommend by guys here and damn they good... the front grips so much better at all speeds and in the wet!! problem was the car was slightly pulling to the left before, payed for a track and balance with the new tyres but the problem got worse with wheel wobble above 40 and nolonger pulling left but the steering wheel biased over to the right a fair amount to go straight... went back and they rebalanced the wheels (removing the wobble...although if they had done this correctly first time... :headvswal ) and re-tracked the car again... the steering wheel is less baised to the right now (although still not centere…

Asper the title says  Well since having my auto changed to a manual the car seems to run better however 0-60 is still around the slow 8 - 9 second marks. I know previously the car had a code 34 problem, i have not checked to see if that is still there yet as i never have the time and im not that great with cars . . . yet that is. would the code 34 retard the car this much?? Also when/if i try to put away quickly the car tends to really hesitate for a second or so, again might this be the code 34 or possibly something else??? I know i need to change the plugs still :headvswal And to top my rant off ive just got back from the pictures at boldon …

Just moved insurance companies and thought I would post up their details, if anyone is interested. Didnt seem to mind any modifications and I got a good price. The only thing they dont do is an agreed value, but might be worth giving them a try. Kirbz mentioned them to me, as they are very good on the GTR forum. Its A Plan 01635 874646 and Claire helped me out with my quote.

I've had what I believe to be possible PTU failure symptons lately..so went to remove PTU today and swap it with the one of my Wifes NA......but when I removed one of the big block connectors on my PTU some of the pins from the PTU snapped inside the connector and the rest looked pretty corroded :headvswal :headvswal Its the Connector that plugs into the Left hand side of the PTU when standing at front of car facing engine bay. I tried to follow the harness to see where it went, but it started raining heavily. Where does the harness go to, can I unplug it from wherever it goes to and replace that whole harness easily ?

Recently we discovered an error code from the ecu pointing at the ptu - replaced it..but now I've got popping ALL the time not justwhen she's cold as she was before and a complete lack of power - foot on the floor and theres hardly any reaction at all from her. And to add to it, now i don't just have a lumpy engine i have a nasty little annoying fookin tappin at the back of …
