Hi, Sorry if this upsets anyone who is fed up answering the same old questions, but what are the pros and cons of de-catting a T/T ??????? Followed up on loads of old threads, and people seem split on whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Damaging the Turbo seals seems to be the most common cause for concern. Is any power gain noticeable ?? Does it make the exhaust system too loud ?? Obviously it would depend on the condition your Turbos were in, what exhaust system you had, etc etc. Any proof, or evidence to support either claims ?? Year of manufacture is also an issue for the mot. Just trying to see what the most popul…

Patchway Roundabout about 1ish today, i wasnt in the Z.

Stering rack gaiter does anybody know what to fill them with inside grease or oil i need to fit one for the mot .I had to get it from nissan as couldnt get a pattern part thanks taff.

I've had my black 91 300ZXTT UK car for about 6 years now, and I've just realised I have no idea what it is worth. I know the insurance companies only pay the book value no matter what we personally think. The cars in good condition apart from some git keying it down both sides. I'm wondering if the cost of insurance is gonna out weight the benefits of having a car that I drive once a fortnight.

Hi all, I got j spec stock rims all round and heard you can get spacers for the rear to get the wheels to fill the arches a little better, anyone know where i can get these or any alternatives ? CheerZ Paul

Ok yet another thread needing speedo help. My clocks have MPH on them up to 190 but there is a sticker covering the MPH sign which I didnt notice when I bought the car. It runs in KM/H though and I can verify this with my road angel. What way is best to turn the speedo to run MPH instead. Hope I dont bring up annoyed, "this subject again", users. TIA Dave G

I am going to fit a Car PC into my Zed. I will put a small Compaq PC in the space saver tyre area and will run various cables to the dashboard where i will have a 7" monitor where stereo DIN stuff normally goes. Is it fairly straight forward to remove the console thing that goes on top of the propshaft tunnel to do this?

After installing my Apexi induction and planning for new intercoolers, I had a wee look at the front end. The apexi isnt receiving as much air as it could as there is a plastic tray underneath it and loads of plastic infront of it. (More worried about the intercooler when I buy/install. Is there any major reason why I shouldnt get my bodyshop to cut a section out of the front and mesh it. I would undoubedly get it done so that if I decide for a frount mount intercooler, it could simply fit into the hole already cut. Saves time, money and respray. Also does anyone have any pictures of this done already?? Thanks, Dave G

Has anyone fitted a double Din into their Z. I know there is space for 2 Single Dins. I think that cutting the plastic inbetween the 2 dins would leave a gap too big. Would the standard metal bracket that fastens the single din work with a double din?? :confused: Or has anyone not tried this before? TIA Dave G

What u think the problem is here guy's..... Any temperature up to about 23 degrees on the display and it will blow it out of the vents quite nicely, any thing above that and it makes the sound that its blowing but i dont know where coz it aint out of the vents !!!! In other words, it blows cold air out of the vents but not warm.....

I have '90' TT, which i recently hit a roundabout in! Iv'e noticed lately that when i corner a little hard, the column moves to 1 side or the other about 10-15 mm. I had a quick look, and noticed it has alu slides which dont really grip the column? Anyway, for now, iv'e thrown out the slides & fitted big washers. Is there something i'm missing? or do i need new alu inserts? Thanks in advance for any help, Steve

if i was to put some oil on a car is it easy to wash off? just yes or no will do.

My rear lights and fogs are tinted but over time they have become scratched and stone chipped. Do I just spray over the top of the old tint?? or do I have to some how remove all the old tint and respray?? If so how the fook do I remove the old tint?? Also if anybody can suggest a better way of tinting them please post. Thanks in advance.

I have just booked in to Z tech to have the aggressor chip put on my Z. I was so overly excited by the price after what other companies had quoted (some were £650 for a piggy back and mapping)that I didnt really understand what I was being told about it as I was jumping round the room! :hyper: I know Z tech are a good company and I wont have problems but what gains have others seen from this upgrade?

how do i get the fan shroud off, im wanting to fibreglass it over to make it smooth ready for spraying up, so any tips on fibreglassing it would be greatly apreciated aswell. cheers si
