This is a poll on behalf of Karl"GeorgeDoors"300ZX regarding suggestions / advice on storage of his Z whilst he is off serving his Queen. Essentially there are two options I believe, please feel free to offer other options but we basically feel they are as follows. 1 - Store the car in a garage and once a week start her up for 10-15 minutes to run the fluids around the internals. (Open to suggestions on number of times to start her up and how long to run her for.) Or 2 - Store her in a garage and drain all fluids. (Not fully sure on extent of fluids to drain, ie just water and oil or the full hog, brakes, power steering, oil, water an anything people may …

my overhead roof fan for the aircon sensor has started squealing. How do you remove the console that it's in? Do you just yank it off, so to speak?

I will be putting a new OEM radiator in the Zed next week. I have previously had some trouble with refilling the cooling system, in particular I think I had some air trapped in the system. I understand it is best to have the car on an angle when filling but can anyone tell me what is the best way to fill it so that I don't trap any air in the system? Thanks, Mike...

Last week my 300zx TT fan belt broke. To cut a long story short we got it to a local garage (not Nissan) who also replaced the other two belts. Since then it keeps chucking the power steering belt, we are now on the third one and it's gone again after under 20 miles. I am getting pissed with the garage and they no doubt feel the same about me. They maintain they're doing it right, I say they aren't. Is there anything that they can be doing wrong? Any suggestions b4 I go back ranting would be appreciated. :(

Had what I believe to be PTU Failure symtons the other day. Went to remove PTU and its connector pins broke inside the connector (the larger connector with 7 pins). Got a new connector and harness and rewired it back together and connected another PTU. But now it only running on 5 cylinders. Cylinder 1 is the culprit. So far : a) Changed PTU (Unless this is the problem..it was fine on other car b4 removed) b) Changed Coilpack c) Changed Spark Plug d) Getting 12v with ignition on from coilpack connector But Im still not getting a spark ! (Coilpack and Plug removed and engine turned over to test for spark) :headvswal:  :headvswal…

Wondered if anyone can help When I accelerate shall we say a bit harder than usual the revs climb upwards (after 300rpm) yet the road acceleration doesn't match it. It's as if the tyres at the front are losing traction. Could this be it or could it be something else - any advice will be greatly appreciated

Any help/advice would be appreciated! I have a friend who is buying the new Honda Civic from a Honda dealer. They have paid a £500 deposit and the car was supposed to be delivered and registered in January 2006. It turns out that the car was regeistered in 2005 and wont be delivered until next week (2006). So my question is wont that affect the future value of the car and should they be paying full price for a car that was registered last year? Thanks

Right, I know this is NOT going to be cheap. One of my RAYS wheels is missing a centre cap. The comse in two parts. A cast centre section and a large alloy nut that screws down to keep it secure. See 'rides' for a better idea. Now, I have tried loads of different places to get hold of one, specialist companies that deal with importing jap rims, car importers and zed specialists and it would appear that it's impossible to get these. Rims are out of production now too. So, what I am planning on doing is getting one of my existed centre caps molded and then cast before chroming and then having an alloy centre nut cut for me. Does anyone know a company tha…

My driveshaft bearings sound like they are approaching the end of their days. Before they reduce themselves to their component parts I would like to replace them. I have promised myself that as parts wear out I will replace stock with performance parts and have been looking at some one piece drive shafts from http://www.z1motorsports.com/index.php?cPath=1_6_11 Before I order I thought Id ask to see if they are available in the uk as I havent been able to find them, anyone ? They also do a transmision mount upgrade by Nismo.
