Driving along the road tonight and i feel play starting increase on the clutch pedal and less resistance.. eventually not being able to fully disengage the clutch.. so checked the reservoir and it's empty, fill it up and the clutch gets a bit better, pump it a few times let the air out (see bubbles in the reservoir) and that enabled me to get home ok. The reservoir doesn't seem to be losing that much fluid although i've only left it sitting for 15 minutes since i last checked. Doesn't appear to be any leaks from the master cylinder and i can see drips coming from under the car, behin the back of the engine i can see a drip coming from between and above two …

howdy people, i need to change the front pads and need a bit of feedback on the type and compound which is best for standed rotors,allso are the pistons push back or twist back a daft question to some but after doing the wifes front brakes on her rover 400 only after stripping the thread on a g-clamp did i suss they where screw back pistons :(

does anyone know what size the centre caps are on standard ZX alloys, is it 60mm diameter ? thanks Andy...

how hot should the heaters get when working right

If the car takes ages to sort the revs out, what would be the issue? Is there some kind of idle control valve on zeds? It's not hunting or anything or reving too much. Say I'm driving and I come to a stop, put it into neutral. Revs drop quite low and it feels like the car is going to stall, sometimes it does, but more often than not, it doesn't and give it a few seconds and eventually the revs will rise back to normal idle.

anyone got some good pics of a gearstick for a manual tt please? just need a good couple of pics of one to look at .. otherwise i have to take mine out!

sorry to bring up the dreaded hicas subject again! first question is about degassing the air con - how can i do it on my drive? i understand that it is nasty stuff, but how nasty is it? if i just release the pressure using the valve by the battery will anything untoward happen, and how long will it take to empty? also i seem to have a different set of pipework to my hicas than ive found anywhere on here. i have no pipe running from the tank to the solenoid? from the tank - 1 pipe runs to the pump, and 2 run forward to behind the air con rad. from the solenoid - 1 runs to the pump, 2 run to the rear steering rack, and one runs forward to behind…

My cars always had a slight pull to the left, nothing severe, on searching the forum it seems there is a mysterious force at work as most cars seem to do this, so what about you?

ok i bought some screen wash a 1 litre bottle, now on the reverse it says this: in winter increase concentration to 25% or more screen wash to water. question is make this easy, how much of this bottle do i put in my shortie before i add the water?

hi guys, Car failed its MOT not so long back and one of the reasons it failed was because of the setup of the rear lights and that they shudnt be setup this way. Is this guy correct? if so, how should they be set up / what is the standard way and how can i set it up as standard? Ive attached a pic of the setup as it is now. Any help with this would be much appreciated Thanks rob

Hey guys, Just wondering who if anyone knows the sizes of standard NA brake discs as mine have warped slightly. Any advice on where i can get drilled/grooved discs as replacement? Rich

Cleaning me car out today i noticed that the passenger foot well was very wet under the carpet, im hoping its not a heater matrix prob? because the heater works lovely its not blowing steam in to the car and the rad is not losing water. I have noticed however that the panel at the back of the engine bay at the bottom of the windscreen is missing the section that covers the battery. Could it just be when its been through a carwash or rained heavy that water in running down the screen into the engine bay and getting in through the bulkhead???? again any help would be great and im going to owe a lot of people :duffer: at jae lol cheers Craig

Hi there, Had a problem with a flat battery the other day, jumped it and then got Hicas & ABS lights flashing. So decided to charge battery up fully and after charging, it was reading a little over 12 volts, put in the Z and then car started fine, did a test once engine started and volts where showing at 14.42, but after revving the car it showed no volt increase and after a couple of minutes running, the volts were slowly decreasing. Is the Alternator faulty which it sounds like? Cheers

above the stereo and under the vents. Everbody says that these break. I've had a look at mine as it's stuck on with black gobbo but it doesn't look broken. Should it fit into metal clips on the dash as in mine there are just rectangular holes and nothing to hold it in. CheerZ Paul

I brought some rear spats for a swb z they are like a rubber foam material in black i belive these can be colour coded .But does anybody know of anyone in essex how can copy these in fibreglass maybe a few sets can be made for other members on the board.thanks taff.

Started to install my blitzs bovs,did that ok but now am stuck.Took of the old ones but now stuck,do i join the two pipes that are left open or just blank them off?

Hi all got a prob with the drivers side head light the seal has leaked and there is water inside (Condensation) ive had a quick look at removing the light but it looks a bit tricky, I also thought these where sealed units. Has anyone had this prob or no the best way to fix it?? the car also has a HID conversion i dont know if this makes any difference?? any help would be appreciated Cheers Craig :bow:

i think the gas struts that hold my boot open are ****ed as when i open it closes on my head after about 5 seconds (ouch). is this a common prob? where can i get replacements from?

Hi everybody, I've been looking for a 300zx and i just happened to stumble on this picture. I would like to know who made these rear lights...they look awesome! More better than the Strosek Version imo. Also, this 99 Fairlady side skirts... Please help!
