    well i got round to fitting my non return valves for the washer jets today, only the right one was fooked but i did both. because the right one was fooked , when i parked the car in the drive nose down the water from the washer bottle would leak from the overflow pipe at the front of the car. fitted the new valves and its stopped altogether, seems that if a valve is bust and lets in air then the gravity will let the water leak out.. cost of valves: £1:99 time to fit: two mins grin factor: cheesy overall: an other fix by me.. priceless!

    Hi all, just fitted the above along with oil pressure and water temp (yet to be wired up). My boost guage needle doesn't sit at 0 when switched off but goes up on boost and down on vacuum. With it not sitting at 0 does that mean I am getting inaccurate readings :confused: Is there any way of adjusting the needle to 0 at all, my guages are made by Motor Sport. CheerZ Paul

    please can any one help. i have a 91 import auto tt my engine revs will not tick over any less than 2000rpm, this problem has just started to hapen at around the same time the power light for the gear box flashes atleast 10-12 times with the ignition on. are these 2 related and what should i look for. any help would be most welcome :headvswal

    hi can anyone tell me the part number on a series 2 ptu ( i have found one off a s14 200sx but dont know if its the same or not) and also i believe it is smaller than a series 1, so where can i buy the conectors to make a series 2 ptu fit my series 1 zx? cheers richard

    Finally got my car over a pit this morning, you know how hard it is with jacks and ramps, or am i just getting bigger, anyway looks like both cats are blowing but the rest of the exhaust system is in good condition. Two questions are the pipes to the rear boxes stainless steel as standard?because thats what it looks like plus they've got Nissan stamped on them (maybe i've answered that myself :nelson: ) and if i just replace the cats with decats and leave the rest stock, is this ok? (i think it is, just want somebody else to confirm). Cheers

    JUst took my zed for an MOT and it failed on a couple of things :( but the most worrying was the emissions test. My CO reading was at about 5% ?? and I think it should be at about 3% The tester reckoned that when revved it would have gone up to about 7 It has been drinking the juice latley and occasionally the cat overheat light comes on. I've seen the thread where you pull the hose to pass the test but I'd like to get this sorted really. Does anyone know of any DIY diags / steps that I could take to sort this out?? Any help appreciated :bow: :bow: :bow:

    when releasing off my accelorater, my car seems to have kangaroo juice init, like when you brake without putting the clutch in, and it jumps about it also hesitates when pulling away, and sometimes sounds like it is missing when just cruising along but if i disconect the tps from the grey connetor plug (whilst engine is running) i get a clicking noise from the back of the engine next to the battery, then i pconnect it back up again and the car runs great with no probs for about 100 miles then gradually gets back to running rough again :confused: anyone got any solutions please cheers Allan

    Guys, Since i got the car back from the bodyshop the washers arent working. Now i dont know if they had to disconnct them or whether the fuse has gone. I was trying to find the fuse but some of labels have rubbed off and i cant read them all, does anyone know where it is?? Cheers Dan.

    After some help, have a silver 300zx twin turbo manual,jap 1990, after driving about 6 or 7 miles the red hicas light comes on ?? fluid level ok no leaks!! if car stops and sits for 2-3min start her up and no light on !! any ideas ?????

    After checking absolutly every possible component car still wont start, so should i try another ecu ?? im getting code 55 have checked ecu harnesss all seems ok not overtightened etc would a faulty ecu give any indication of what to look for?? also would a faulty fuel regulator and dampner prevent car from starting?? thanx in advance.

    Cutting a long story short here's the deal: Picked car up last weekend and i've done over 400miles on it since. No problems at all. Today taking the car at the dyno i left it engine off for 15 minutes then when it was started back up blue smoke came from the right hand side exhaust and lasted about a minute or so and then cleared up. Checked my oil level etc all is ok so i decided to dyno it, done so no probs, no smoke. Anyway later i parked up for about an hour then came back and same again smoke at start up for about a minute or so then cleared up.. It doesn't smoke at all after that even at full boost or at idle or if i shut the engine off for a fe…

  21. Hi, Sorry if this upsets anyone who is fed up answering the same old questions, but what are the pros and cons of de-catting a T/T ??????? Followed up on loads of old threads, and people seem split on whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Damaging the Turbo seals seems to be the most common cause for concern. Is any power gain noticeable ?? Does it make the exhaust system too loud ?? Obviously it would depend on the condition your Turbos were in, what exhaust system you had, etc etc. Any proof, or evidence to support either claims ?? Year of manufacture is also an issue for the mot. Just trying to see what the most popul…
