gearstick pics

anyone got some good pics of a gearstick for a manual tt please? just need a good couple of pics of one to look at .. otherwise i have to take mine out!

    the plan is to put a thin stick in there with a gate changer, can get them made at my old works.

     

    i can also buy the metal gearknob off ebay already drilled and threaded to m10.

     

    just want to know if there is enough of a good thick stump to go into.
