Long distance journey today, in the wet. Accelerating hard off slip-road when at 80mph and about 5k it felt like I hit the rev limiter...hard!.
Then for the remaining 30mins motorway driving at a steady 70mph every few minutes it did the same...a hard jolt, like engine cut out, complete loss of power for a second then it will carry driving on again. Occasionaly it would do it repeateadly for a few seconds as if I had run out of fuel.
Had only just put £20 in it and was on a 1/4, but I Stopped at services and put some more petrol in and it would'nt idle, cut out, had to rev it to start it and keep it running.
20mins down the motorway later it stopped doing it.
PTU failure, Wet MAF/Apexi Filter.....a really had batch of fuel ?
