General Discussions - 300ZX Related

So after receiving the zed back it drives awesome...now that old tatty looking body needs to have something done with it, so as of now im looking for a very good bodyshop to get into! Recommendations are welcome!..

I Guys, had a quick search but maybe someone can point me in the right direction for rear sill repair panels if there is any such thing? My Z is still solid but sills where going a bit scabby, cut out the rot (still needs a bit more work) and was wondering what would normally be done?? Thanks Steve

I'm sure this has been asked many times before but What's the best offset for 18" wheels, 9.5 on the rear 8.5 on the front? Arches aren't rolled.

My zed is refusing to start. At first I thought it was a flat battery but after charging it up it still won't start. Battery is under 1 year old so can't be that. I've spoke to a few people about it & we're thinking it might be an earthing issue. When I turn the ignition on the lights on the dash are faint & there is a loud buzzing noise coming from the drivers side wing. The aftermarket gauges came on before when I unlocked the car. Any ideas what it could be or what to look for? Car is a TT, manual conversion.

Does anyone know if the LHD NA clutch pedal bracket is the same as the corresponding RHD bracket? I am in the midst of a auto-manual swap on a RHD 300ZX but all I can locate are LHD clutch assemblies. I am having a very difficult time tracking down a RHD one.

Can say I didn't see any other 300zx there, so hope the slicktop represented the club well, but spoke to a someone with a zed in the garage, don't know if he is on here though... Looked nice in the pictures he had

I think im going to be needing more pod dial holders.i think im going to get ones for the left hand pillar as well as im running out of space and dont want to turn my car into a boing 747.lol. has anyone on here got the on the nearside and can read them easy enough from there?

Having a mind blank, do I need to drop the engine crossmember for removal without the box? The cars currently on stands at the front, will I need to shift the support to axel stands to allow it to drop. Looking to do this today and my mind is blank.

I purchased a newly built engine about a 2 years ago with the following spec Full Bottom end rebuild Balanced and honed Wisco 88mm Pistons ARP Main & Stud Kit NGK Sparks Cometic head gasket what kinda power could a engine of this type handle safely without me starting to worry.... I have the supporting mods to get more power now but im concerned to what the engine can actually handle.... before i start fitting the turbos and injectors etc etc..... what can it do? Was it a mistake not having the rods also? Thanks in advance

Ok! Maybe just another Zed for sale with an overdose of the "Bay" signature lens flare to help it along. Saw a dark coloured zed zipping along the M4 today about 13.45ish. Couldn't be more specific as I only saw the roof line over the Armco I was heading east in the van.

Does anybody know if RB25DET Injectors fit the Z32s Iv got a 1990 engine...... Trying to get hold of some bigger injectors and looking around on prices as the bills are escalating with new turbos and various other bits im having to spend cash on.

Hello I bought one month ago some 300zx parts for 300£ to David Kemshell who live near London or Lincolnshire ... The Bank transfer is done since one month and items are normally sent since 03/26/15. He tell me that he would give me a pictures of package and tracking number but in the same time his dad is dead. Some days left i contacted him again to have news and he told me that it It has cleared customs. This informations date of the 04/12/15. But today nothing arrived and no really news from him since one week. When i begin to tell him that items was never sent, he don't appreciate...but he did not send me so far tracking number :( So anybody know …

Who's had new rear arches due to rust? If you don't mind, how much did it cost etc? I'm just at a cross roads or whether its worth sorting the arch (only the drivers side) or maybe going wide arch instead

Real simple question I removed fan shroud some time back about to put it back in car..which I have but can't locate screws/bolts can 2x top 2x bottom anyone post up a pic of what I'm after ? Can't for the life of me find them..thanks in advance

Hi Guys and gals. Ive been talking to Autobrite in Stoke about the possibility of having a meeting at their place and some help and advice about products, uses etc. They threw the following into the hat. For £50 each person they will run a "Back to Basics" training day where you get tuition on the correct way to clean and detail your car. We would also qualify for discount on their product range on the day. I have no date in mind yet, it would be on a Saturday. Who would be interested in attending this? if I can get 10 people then that would be spot on. Maybe if I can get 10 people I might be able to negotiate the price down a bit.

Been toying with the idea of moving on to something else but not to sure what my 300 is worth ,would like to keep it and get something else but don't really have the room ,but as I say I'm only toying with the idea ,I see that red uk is up for over 6 half on ebay I would say mine is better but has 74k on it

Found one of these on ebay, like the look of them and having the split controller/dis[lay. Has anyone had any experience using them, how user friendly they are and how good they are at holding boost?

Through Bury today

Before I get the old ones pressed out and the new ones pressed in, are there inner sleeves on the rear knuckles that need to remain in-situ like those of the differential? As this is one of the few parts that I've not had any experience with, I don't actually know.

Hi guys any one advise on how to remove diff bushes from subframe before it goes of to powder coaters . I haven't got use of a hydraulic press can I drift them out with socket or such like, thanks .

Opinions on them? I think they look really nice but I'm not sure about actually using them. I get the impression they'll just get filthy and then get ruined from cleaning! Has anyone been using them long-term?
