well guys, removed my hicas and need the tracking doing, just wanted to know what is a good rear camber and toe setting? and would after market alloys effect the alignment? thanks in advance :)

So, I just noticed that the doors from my old (92) Zed have a lot more going on inside of them than the doors on my project (90) Zed. I havent had time to investigate, but I think I've come to the conclusion that my project (90) Zed doesnt have central locking. My old (92) Zed had remote central locking through the Toad. My project (90) Zed has no alarm, so I'm wondering if it was something that came with the alarm. I had thought all Zeds came with central locking as standard? I'm sure one of you good people know the answer? I've already looked at http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm, but it doesn't covered it, just remote CL.

well i'm just waiting the call to tell me the zed is ready to collect after what was going to be a simple sill repair welding wise which turned into, both rear sills, both front sills, and both rear bumper supports, glad to say they have had a first class job done on them by guy eastwood, who jeff tt reccomended to me (he did all the zedworld welding jobs) so has done hundreds of zeds, so i knew the car was in safe hands. here are a few pics of work in progress, he is also waxoilin the box sections to help protect them.

Morning all, does anyone know if the steering column size and splines are the same on airbag and non airbag versions? My zed is non cruise, non hicas, with airbag, my local momo supplier only lists non airbag fitment. not bothered about the electrical side of things just the actual fitment to the column. thanks.

I'm wanting your ideas really on what might improve the looks of my car (externally). Generally, I think I looks pretty nice but as with everything, there's always more than can be done so I'm interested in what opinions people have. Has anyone done this? I'm fed up with the sight of the awkward series 2 PTU sub harness and want to wire the sub harness connectors straight to the main loom with new connector boots and heat shrink.....I'm a dab hand at soldering. Before I unpick the sub harness, is there anything I need to be mindful of? Is it as simple as it looks?

Hi guys been doing my na subframe swap over the weekend . I'm sure I was told I only need the rear section from a na but this won't fit to the front of my tt silcktop . This prop was from a auto car is there a diffrence . I'm confused do I need a swb na manual complete prop of just the back section from na swb but a manual one thanks .

putting the zed back together today just about ready to weld the new corner back on but does anyone have a pic of how the wiring loom runs down the inner wing then where it enters the engine bay. we aren't 100% sure as the damaged part had all been cut out before we started

These bad boys turned up this week from the States - 62mm billet throttle bodies designed and manufactured by Robert Bastian. They are fully CNC machined from billet aluminium and are beautifully made. They have proper shaft seals (no leaks under boost) and the butterflies are a perfect fit when closed. They need the return springs and stops transferred from OEM throttle bodies and the intake manifold will need porting to the larger 62mm bore. They will be installed along with AshSpec SMICs and 2.5" IC pipe work in due course. Held up to bright lighting: By way of illustration, this photo shows another car with the 62mm throttle bodies…

My z, for several years has had a drivers side smoky exhaust. Only when up to temp and only when the ambient temp is anywhere above 15 degrees C. I replaced the pcv valves and it made no difference, I replaced the turbo, albeit a used one and it has made no difference. The smoke is oil/blue. And is only there on tickover, as soon as the revs rise the smoke stops, I can usually control this by pressing the econ (aircon) button as this raises the revs just enough. Are these symptoms turbo? Or potentially engine? What would advise my next step should be? Thanks, dan

As everyone knows I have had a rough idle problem for a bit with the exhaust note being broken at random times... After reading a thread on here with someone having a similar problem I took the maf off and started the car... no bad idle... no break or anything. Put it back on and break in the exhaust note. also reading the same thread they had a problem with the new maf. Which ones are best to order? Cheers

I have a set of rims that have a large circular "cap" that covers the bolt holes and then a smaller threaded "cap" with a lge hex head, I think the pictures explain it better, the red caps have a sparco emblem, trying to get more or these has been impossible, however when I look at the red cap the emblem disc comes out so another one could go in, red cap is 70mm across flats with approx. 63mm thread. I need 2 of each, has anyone got anything that even resembles these caps, also, what id the official name for these so I can search more effectively. Rich

Im getting bored working down here so anyone in Somerset or surrounding areas needs any welding done gimme a shout ( will only charge for fuel and food :D ) I enjoy welding on cars and need something to keep my mind busy ! Hi all I purchased this as a 'just in case' buy some time ago but it is now taking up valuable room. It's a 1992 with 70k on it. Engine and box still together as one lump. Hi, zed currently has a leak in one of the heater matrix hoses. Already have a replacements thanks to Zcentre so now looking for recommendations of what coolant/antifreeze to use on the zed? Concentrate or ready mixed, brands or oem nissan stuff and the total quantity i will need. Also is it worth using radiator flush as the liquid in there atm seems abit "rusty" Thanks Andre.
