Very nice white one displaying at the Kingsbridge Classic Car Show. I'm a long way away, but HID was there trying to coax you out of wherever you were to compliment you. You were obv elsewhere, and you didn't appear, but she saw you on your way off. Think it has inspired her to get ours sorted, so thanks for that! (I was going to anyway once I'm back in UK). Looked like a good day.

I drove my z about 150 miles over the weekend none stop, when the car was restarted from cold (about 6 hours after the 150 mile trip) I noticed it was misfiring, I drove it about 1 mile, stopped the engine, restarted it and it was back on all 6. I drove the 150 miles home with no problem. Last night the problem came back again after a little bit of spirited driving, I turned the engine off and back on but still there, I got the car home and found if I pulled the coil plugs cylinder 5 made no difference. I stopped the engine and swapped the coil pack with cylinder 4 and restarted the engine, seems fine again now. Obviously I will see soon if the misfire has chang…

Having been squirrelling away my pennies for a while now I'm almost at the point of pressing the go button on my restoration/project only to see that Jeff at Zedworld has retired. My car is showing signs of rust on the rear arches and sills so sorting that is a priority. I know Z-centre sell the various repair panels but I wondered if they are available from alternative sources ( or actually required if the body shop is competent enough ) and also whether anyone can recommend a good body shop in and around Surrey ? All suggestions or pointers appreciated. Mark

Well my car blew its turbo seals the other day so plumes of blue smoke, LOVELY! So taking it in the garage for a massive maintenance and upgrade session over the next few month. So basically anywhere i can get the above in the UK? I can get it all from Z1 where i plan on getting other bits and pieces but import taxes will shaft me, and on apprentice wages right now so trying to save where i can (note that doesnt mean cheaping out on parts!)

Well driving on sand at speed turns out to be very scary and difficult. We had a 1 km course with a speed trap at the end. Best speed I achieved was 126mph. Here are a few pictures:

Ok, crisis of confidence time! Having just bought a load of SWB-specific blue glass from Slick Pete, I've spent the evening trying to track down the missing pieces. So far, the only place I can actually find any for the Shortie is in the US. Obviously, having it shipped over comes with some serious risks (not to mention expense) and then there's all the fun of having it replaced and buying a brand new windscreen. Plus the seals and trims, etc. The price just keeps on climbing! So (and I already know FunkySi's answer) my question is this: is it honestly going to be worth it all, just to have blue glass...?

I don't think this car wants me to put it back on the road, keeps throwing loads of little spanners in the works to stop me. Right basically headlights are playing up. Sidelights are fine Dipped on at stalk = passenger dipped on and both full beams on but dull, no driver dipped. Flash full beam at stalk= passenger full beam on brighter , driver full beam off and no dipped passenger All the following was done with dipped beam enabled on stalk... Take out rh relay, all full beams off with passenger dipped on but no driver dipped. Take out lh relay no lights. Take out dimmer relay, only full beams come on.

Need some advice/ opinions I'm trying to quite my zed down, it's currently fitted with 2.5 downpipes and a pg 3" catback (also decat) Bungs in its too loud 103 db, don't even want to know how loud without ( childish but sometimes we need to bring the noise) I'm just about to order the matching 3" labree ultimate downpipes, they are resonated apparently, but suspect it'll get louder, Now, changeing the exhaust is out of the question, but I'm trying to fit a control valve into the system, My first plan was to fit 2 one in each bank, after the h section, just before the mufflers, they are not safe for boosting but for low speeds and idling they a…

Hi everybody . first sorry for my english (i'm french and many persons know me here as Mark Derby). Last week i've change all my head gasket in my 300zx ( it was smooking ). One of head cylinder has been surfacing with 4/10 mm then we are surfacing the other head cylinder with the same value. now , my engine is smooking again in the right side and the pipes are very hard ( air in pipes) then we have again a problem with the right head cylinder or with the new gasket ( all gasket has been changed)... I've two question : 1) is it a problem with this value 4/10 surfacing ( too much for the head cylinder) ? 2) could i change again my head g…

Ok, so Gary has said that he remembers fitting LWB targas to his Shortie once and they were a perfect fit. In the event that his memory might be shot to pieces here  , and bearing in mind that the targas strip down to pretty much the bare glass, am I likely to be correct in assuming that the glass itself would be interchangeable between the Shortie and the Family Estate version...? And (this is something I fear I already know the answer to) how (un)likely is for me to come across any SWB glass (doors, quarters, etc) in blue tint.....?

I have an early plenum, so I can't fit the J30 covers, however I do have access to a 95+ inlet from a chap in Kent..the Z32Inovations covers are not nice. In the meantime however in case I don't go that route, has anyone successfully (without the use of chrome or any other plating), brought these to a more 'fresh' appearance? Currently, they're like this (as with most Z32s).

Ok I bought some XXR 522 alloys for the zed, 18" 114.3 et28 9.5j all good right? Well my nuts don't fit... My originals were too small and I couldn't get a socket on the nut so I bought some D1 tuner nuts, they don't even fit in the wheel nut recess as they're too wide. What can I do to make these fit or can I not?
