Hi everybody . first sorry for my english (i'm french and many persons know me here as Mark Derby). Last week i've change all my head gasket in my 300zx ( it was smooking ). One of head cylinder has been surfacing with 4/10 mm then we are surfacing the other head cylinder with the same value. now , my engine is smooking again in the right side and the pipes are very hard ( air in pipes) then we have again a problem with the right head cylinder or with the new gasket ( all gasket has been changed)... I've two question : 1) is it a problem with this value 4/10 surfacing ( too much for the head cylinder) ? 2) could i change again my head g…

Ok, so Gary has said that he remembers fitting LWB targas to his Shortie once and they were a perfect fit. In the event that his memory might be shot to pieces here  , and bearing in mind that the targas strip down to pretty much the bare glass, am I likely to be correct in assuming that the glass itself would be interchangeable between the Shortie and the Family Estate version...? And (this is something I fear I already know the answer to) how (un)likely is for me to come across any SWB glass (doors, quarters, etc) in blue tint.....?

I have an early plenum, so I can't fit the J30 covers, however I do have access to a 95+ inlet from a chap in Kent..the Z32Inovations covers are not nice. In the meantime however in case I don't go that route, has anyone successfully (without the use of chrome or any other plating), brought these to a more 'fresh' appearance? Currently, they're like this (as with most Z32s).

Ok I bought some XXR 522 alloys for the zed, 18" 114.3 et28 9.5j all good right? Well my nuts don't fit... My originals were too small and I couldn't get a socket on the nut so I bought some D1 tuner nuts, they don't even fit in the wheel nut recess as they're too wide. What can I do to make these fit or can I not?

  13. Right guys... I sent out a few emails regarding some body parts from various suppliers, The first crowd was Twinchip regarding the rear bumper, this is coming in at €518 plus €374 shipping to Ireland, a total of €892. Now they did say that there would be room in the box for other parts like the front bumper etc and that i'd get a 10% discount if I ordered more than 1 part. I got an email back from CZP regarding Kaminari skirts, these retail at $544 plus $175 shipping. Kaminari are going to come back to me also regarding direct shipping from their factory. My question is... Would there be anyone in Ireland looking for any of these parts so we could share the cost …

I've finally chosen my seats, going for corbeau pro series seats, 1 regular for me, and a gt(wide) for passenger seat, but can't decide on colours, seats are black, red/black, blue/black or grey/black, don't want the bright colours but grey/black did look good, What does anyone think? And harness colour? I'm liking the 75mm purple 5 point. Corbeau are only a few miles from me so it's ideal, It's for the silver slicktop.

Just thought id stick this up for those upgrading the fuel pump and own a SWB. Saves you taking it apart and then realising you need extra bits. I needed to buy some in tank fuel hose as the one supplied was not long enough as it is for the LWB Zed. Make sure its R10 stuff and ok for in tank use. Heres some pics of how i installed it. Note i had to wire to existing loom as wiring was also too short to go to the top connectors.

Recently I was driving along when I heard a grinding noise, I pulled over thinking it was the bumper half hanging off but quickly realised it was coming from the engine. Ended up getting it towed to a mechanics and he thinks it's something to do with the crankshaft/bearings. He's put it up on the ramp but thinks it will have to be an engine out job and due to this he has suggested getting a donor car and doing a straight swap. So I have a few questions for you guys: 1-Can the crank be removed without pulling the engine? 2-Where would be the best place to get a donor 300 or a replacement VG30? 3-Would it have to be a Manual-Manual engine swap or would a VG out of an …

Not a favorite in the Z family and often over looked but prices are rising in good clean examples of our unloved cousin. If you see a good one for little money it would be worth buying and keeping  This is a nice example starting of at 99p I expect it to sell for well over 2k . Hi all. I am after some advice. I have a 1988 Nissan 300zx that I bought in 1998 and took it off the road in July 1998 when I got a company vehicle. It was declared sorn that year but at the time I never realised you had to renew it. I never had any further dealings with the dvla over the car and I moved house in 2002. I took the car with me and put it in a garage where it has stayed since then. I am now looking to put the car back on the road but I'm worried that I will face a hefty fine for A: not continuing to sorn the vehicle and B: for not changing my address when I moved and lastly facing a back tax fine. Has anyone been in the same situation as I am and ho…
