May 2, 201510 yr Hi Guys. Looking to change out my front bypass hoses as I suspect a small leak might be from there. Just wondering if its a fairly straight forward job to do? Pull the rad and fan to get proper access and take it from there? Any help gratefully received! Thanks. :)
May 2, 201510 yr Yeah pretty simple. You can probably do it with the rad in but you've gotta drain it all anyway so may aswel make life easy. You will need an Allen head bit 6mm I think, as the three bolts that hold it are Allen headed. You will also need some good strong needle nose pliers. Drain down the system. Remove the rad and fan clutch. Undo the three Allen bolts. Use the pliers to pull the spring clip together and push it back out the way. Pop off the temp sensors. Wiggle the top pipe off, it may require some pulling. Replace the pipes, clean up and reseal. Done. Bleed the system out as per the service manual. You could change the thermostat and top hats while your there for very little money and some added peace of mind.
