In preparation for a potential purchase of a Zed, I need some wheel inspiration! I humbly request photos of your cars so I can see what wheels look like what when fitted and, if possible, please post size and offsets etc too! Its a chance to show off ? and thanks for the help!

Hi, Would be really grateful for some advice. My car leaks on both targa sides, I know this can happen, but the seals look knackered. Also they look swollen and bloated, the previous owner must have applied some black silicone stuff to seal leaks, but it looks really irregular and rough spoiling the clean lines. My plan is to get the car resprayed and replace all the seals. I would be really grateful for suggestions on where I can get the seals (targa and door) and what your thoughts are on trying to restore the targas, seals and the original paintwork.

Hi, Just wanted some advice, just bought a 300zx, I have some Nismo Rays wheels on my Z, however they are in really poor condition, I have been quoted £160/wheel to refurb, also the outer rims cannot be chrome polished and will need to be powder coated, centre caps and bolts will be extra. I just want to know what other members think, is it worth refurbishing or consider getting alternatives? If you think alternatives would be better, any suggestions?

Zed back in the garage to replace all the brake lines! I have enjoyed having the manual conversion done. Makes it more of a drivers car. I was a fan of the autobox too.

Spotted a red zed with a black tailgate in Cardiff, I swear I recognised it as a members car. It was in a lock up near an Industrial park.

Hello guys, I am in the process of acquiring a full Auto to manual conversion, I have a great auto gearbox with little less than 60k miles on it, I have no issues with it (apart from it being automatic) and it shifts great, fluid and filter has been recently changed. Let me know if someone would be interested in any of related parts completely free of charge, shipping is on you if required. otherwise its going in the bin im afraid.

What sort of cost are we looking at? And does it have to be a z32 box or are other boxes compatible (350z/370z/200sx) Sent from my SM-G988B using Tapatalk

Is the auto box not very good on the TT or do people just go for manual because it's better? Sent from my SM-G988B using Tapatalk

  12. I am currently looking for a Z32 and unsure what year I should be looking at. Generally later cars have better spec and the kinks ironed out as the production run goes on. I had a look on wikipedia (so it must be correct, right?) about the changes during the production run and nothing seems to jump out at me. Is there any reason why say a 1994 would be preferable to a 1989? Or should I not care and just get the best maintained and looked after one that I find. Cheers

  13. Currently up for auction in the US with bidding now at $31,000 with 4 days to run a very clean low mileage example in EH7. How high will bidding go? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-76/ By way of comparison another EH7 car with just 8K miles went for $57K last year.

Hi! Is there any special tool for removing a fuel injector without removing the plenum? I mean for the screws. It's impossible with a normal screwdriver. Thanks for your help. Best regards Olav

Hi! I am looking for a fuel injector for a 1991 Nissan 300 zx. I am only finding one with OEM code 1660040P07 for cars from 1994-. See picture. Will this fit also a 1991 engine? Thanks for your help! Best regards! Olav

Hello My Z is fitted with 16" 7.5jj wheels with 225 wide Tyres all around, the owners manual states the TT should have wider 16" 8.5jj wheels at the rear running 245mm tyres. Im trying to do an original restoration so looking for the wider wheels, there are lots of wheels available on the bay but all seem to be the narrower 7.5jj. Can anybody advise please.

Well here she is finally finished after all these years and all down to one man jimmer aka powezed. It’s been a long and expensive road but she’s finally finished. After collecting the zed from Jim last month after stage two of engine mods..ie new JWT cams, springs, hydraulic lifters,Kevlar belt and BDE sprockets…on top of a full forged engine build already developing 530bhp We then took it too Greg AKA Protuner for G4 LINK with traction control two maps low boost and high boost.. she made just over 600bhp at the hubs (around 660-670)bhp at the fly Zed now runs sweet and she is truly a missile so massive thanks to the zed lord for all the work he has …

Do i need anything to attach the gaiter to the centre console? Ordering the last few things to complete the manual conversion, but can’t seem to find anything about how the gaiter stays in place.

  23. Started by dipone,

Finally got around to getting the Zed converted to manual. Collected it today from powerZed. The difference…..wow!!!, never driven a manual zed before but the difference from auto is huge. Feels so more connected to the driver, feels alot more alert, no more off finding a gear, then changing. Took some getting used to at first, stalled 3 times?. Jim you were right the noise because of the rubber missing??
