My Zed passed the MOT yesterday with the following advisories 1. near side & offside rear track rod ends have slight play (I can get) 2. rear fuel pipes at rear corroded! All pipes. 3. rear power steering pipe/hose slightly corroded. All pipes Are there any diagrams or write ups of 2 & 3 that members know of? Do they have to be custom made as I doubt they are off the shelf pipes! Any help appreciated Arthur

Just wanted to make a post about the Ronin Import keys. Just received mine from them and the quality is exceptional. They also can decode and cut from your original key if you send them pictures and mine was cut perfectly. Saves the hassle of finding a lock cutter who can/will cut a titanium key. I also ordered their titanium bonnet props and the quality is just as good. I have attached a picture of how mine looks (with the key itself crudely scribbled out). If anyone is interested, you can get them here: https://roninimports.com/product/300zx-titanium-key-n1/

For aftermarket engine management setups which use MAP (manifold pressure) and IAT (intake air temperature) sensors then this little adaptor for a Bosch combined MAP and IAT sensor mounted to the EGR flange on the underside of the plenum could be of interest. (NB check the manufacturer's note regarding oil in the plenum). Great to see a new Z32 product innovation! https://www.polarengineering.co/product-page/nissan-z32-300zx-mounting-adapter-for-bosch-iat-map-sensor

Hi Brains trusts.. My son had some issues with the drivers side window (2+0) not going up when he bought the car. A few days later, it would go up - no problems. Now, we can't get it down. Is there a way to remove the inner door card? There appears to be a screw that is behind the window that we obviously can't get to to undo. The switch appears to work, I hear a relay clicking inside the door when the button is pressed, the passengers side works correctly. Just as a foot note, the power mirror will go up and down etc, but won't fold in - the passengers side isn't a problem. Any ideas? It may be a blown fuse, if so, which one, where? I hav…

1996 300zx na - left side driver from US - rough idling after disconnect and reconnect of the injector connectors ( for resistance testing). Car was running smooth before and suddenly started rough idling after doing this injector connector ohm testing, it does look like all injector wiring connectors are seated properly again. does this procedure somehow reset the ecu idle setting to factory tuning ? .. i do remember i had this issue before with this car and i had a very good z mechanic at that time and he was was able to fix it quickly .. think it was the idle screw adjustment. And possibly disconnect and reconnect of the idle valve. But not entirely sure about the…

If you have a 300zx with an airbag steering wheel and change it for an aftermarket non air bag wheel then it will fail the MOT. Supra owner over here failed his MOT with after market wheel with out the airbag so be warned.

Rebuild of the 1990 TT jap auto going well, engine back in and running. Worked through all fault codes and just code 26 left, all voltage checks ok, reading +-2v as pressure changes , replaced the sensor anyway but code remains, yes I'm resetting the codes each time. I'm starting to wonder if it does relate to the boost sensor as that doesn't appear to be connected to the eccs just the gauge. Does it actually refer to the wastegate solenoid circuit? Any help/ thoughts appreciated.

Hi, Would be really grateful for some advice. My car leaks on both targa sides, I know this can happen, but the seals look knackered. Also they look swollen and bloated, the previous owner must have applied some black silicone stuff to seal leaks, but it looks really irregular and rough spoiling the clean lines. My plan is to get the car resprayed and replace all the seals. I would be really grateful for suggestions on where I can get the seals (targa and door) and what your thoughts are on trying to restore the targas, seals and the original paintwork.

Hi, Just wanted some advice, just bought a 300zx, I have some Nismo Rays wheels on my Z, however they are in really poor condition, I have been quoted £160/wheel to refurb, also the outer rims cannot be chrome polished and will need to be powder coated, centre caps and bolts will be extra. I just want to know what other members think, is it worth refurbishing or consider getting alternatives? If you think alternatives would be better, any suggestions?

Zed back in the garage to replace all the brake lines! I have enjoyed having the manual conversion done. Makes it more of a drivers car. I was a fan of the autobox too.

Hello guys, I am in the process of acquiring a full Auto to manual conversion, I have a great auto gearbox with little less than 60k miles on it, I have no issues with it (apart from it being automatic) and it shifts great, fluid and filter has been recently changed. Let me know if someone would be interested in any of related parts completely free of charge, shipping is on you if required. otherwise its going in the bin im afraid.

I am currently looking for a Z32 and unsure what year I should be looking at. Generally later cars have better spec and the kinks ironed out as the production run goes on. I had a look on wikipedia (so it must be correct, right?) about the changes during the production run and nothing seems to jump out at me. Is there any reason why say a 1994 would be preferable to a 1989? Or should I not care and just get the best maintained and looked after one that I find. Cheers

Currently up for auction in the US with bidding now at $31,000 with 4 days to run a very clean low mileage example in EH7. How high will bidding go? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-76/ By way of comparison another EH7 car with just 8K miles went for $57K last year.

Hi! Is there any special tool for removing a fuel injector without removing the plenum? I mean for the screws. It's impossible with a normal screwdriver. Thanks for your help. Best regards Olav
