Hi everyone . When I start my car in the morning cold there is like a whining noise for a few minutes while the car warms up . To me it sounds like a meat slicer or something . All belts are fine and nothing is loose . Does anyone have any idea what it could be ? I was thinking possibly the crankshaft pulley as there is a aftermarket one on the car . It's a z32 tt . Thanks

Hi all, So for like ever now, Redline MT90 (75W90) seems to have been the oil of choice. But I'm thinking, technology moves on and what not. I did the oil not long baxk but then changed the propshaft so lost some and I'm going to put new in, just because. So, I'm wondering what every one was. I recently moved over to Miller's nanodrive for the engine oil and I'm thinking of trying it for the gearbox. The spec confirms it meets GL4. Also meets GL5 so seems it could be used in the diff as well. Just wondering if there's any thoughts on this.

Hi all! Struggling with the passenger hard tube that comes out of the top of the turbo. I am baffled where the top breather pipe goes? As I cannot find any spare pipes ect as to where it will go. (Circled in red is what pipe I am on about! It’s missing a hose?) (the one circled in green I am aware goes to the short valve cover pipe as it does the other side circled in green) Cheers and sorry for the crap description! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

for anybody looking at getting a new a/c condenser I'm just going to send a t/t condenser to BHM Compak in the next few days, so it would be an ideal time to order yours.

Okay, I've been posting about the engine cutting out on my Zed, I really, really thought that it was some esoteric electrical problem. To that effect, I'd replaced the ancient Meta alarm immobiliser with a nice new one and also replaced my old series 2 PTU and harness. Both items were worthy of replacement, as they were a fair age...............but they did not stop the engine from cutting out! In the end, all it took was the press of a button, the Auto button on the heater control pod....FFS. The engine was stalling whilst coasting downhill and approaching roundabouts (it's an auto-box), the revs were simply dying so much that the engine was stalling.…

I am looking to have the immobiliser replaced on my zed with a full alarm over the next few weeks but wondering if anyone has any recommendations? I've always liked the Toad Ai606 and had that in a couple of cars in the past, but it seems to be discontinued. A local fitter advises they can fit a Clifford 650, are they any good? I've had a Clifford in one other car in the past and again never had any issues. One last thing.... where the hell do you fit the siren in the engine bay!?!

Hope someone can help. When I start the engine from cold, oil pressure goes up to 4. When it is hot it goes down to 1 sometimes 2. I think I have low oil pressure. Any advice appreciated.

Hi all, Got a strange rattle, like a loose plate, which comes from the transmission area when the car is driving and on low RPM, around the gearstick area. I've checked the obvious things like exhaust shields but all seem solid. Noise goes away once RPM increases. Car is a TT 5 speed manual SWB. Thanks

I had the battery out today to deal with some surface rust on the tray and generally clean the area around the battery, anyhow I noticed 2 rubber fuel lines, which I’m guessing have never been replaced as they are hidden with the battery in the car, they went under the a/c piping I can see the clamp on the end of one, are these replaceable with the engine in the car? I was considering replacing them and using spring clamps on refitting.

Hi all, could anyone please advise how the lower coolant hose is normally secured on the twin turbo models? If there should be a bracket mine must have got mislaid during the bumper/engine swap years back Cheers, Adam

A few years back I posted about creating a convoy for my father in law, with a great response. My father in law passed away before we could do it. Eventually the car was sold, and I just wondered if anyone on here had it? It would be good to see some pics of it now. No worries if not. Cheers ash

hi guys, had the nose cone off the zed yesterday to clean the air filter, and I noticed the oil cooler lines are as hard as a rock, I'm guessing they are probably the originals so it's going to be time to change them soon, having a look around I can either replace with genuine rubber hoses or flurolined silicone, but mainly from the usa. does it really need the moulded hoses on there or can I just buy straight (flouro lined) silicone pipe and replace with that?

Scrabbling around under the car looking for a dropped washer, I noticed this. Looks like a wire and a tube in a common sleeve, with the tube coming to an abrupt end. Can anyone tell me what this is, and whether it’s meant to be like that? I can’t get to the other end without getting the car up on stands, and that needs to wait for drier weather, assuming we’re getting a summer this year. Thanks

Yet another thread of mine looking for a near impossible component, yes lol. If anyone happened to receive their 98/99/00 Fairlady with the OE battery from the Nissan assembly line in it still, and you were smart enough to hang onto it even tho it's a dead brick, I would like to buy it. Please reach out. I plan on gutting the internals and installing modern lithium guts. This way I have the original appearance for car shows. Cheers, Alex

Hi all, I'm new in here and only to help my wife's godfather. He has a 1994 300zx twin turbo targa top in red for spares or repairs. The engine starts and runs fine everytime but it hasn't moved for the best part of 4 years. Due to health conditions he hasn't been able to use it, and was planning on restoring it. The whole car will need restoring but he has no idea of how much it would be worth Sonu thought I would ask on here. Any honest opinions would be greatly appreciated. Pictures will be uploaded but awaiting them being sent. Many thanks.

Does anyone know what the OE tire from Nissan was on the 98+ Fairlady Z in Japan? I would presume it was the same tire for all 4 models, but I am asking for a Version R if it was different. I'm wondering the make/model of the tires was so I can research what year they may have gone out of production. Maybe they are still in production, who knows. but I'd like a zero mile set. I have my BBS wheels off getting restored by BBS and I'd like to track down the correct tires. Don't plan to drive on them, just put them on for shows. Cheers, Alex
