Ok, my next step is to up the boost, car is uk manual has veilside evolution exhaust and stillen induction kit. Running stock turbos at the mo so would need to be a bit carefull? I have been advised to use an electric boost controller, @£445. As manual controller not so accurate? i pressume this includes the chip and remap although this isnt specified on quote. Also told a fuel cut defencer would be needed too @£95 This all comes with a labour bill of £400-£450 + vat So a bill of over £1000 is expected. Would this be about right? Your advise plz on best wat to up the boost. many thanks carl

Right then, slowly cleaning up all the underneath. Have managed to restore the factory finish on the rear calipers. Just the fronts to do, these will take a bit more work I think, but they are in nice condition anyway. What I want to know is, what colour should the NISSAN lettering be on the sides of the calipers? Is it white or a bright silver? Going to get some Humbrol Enamel paint and an ultra fine brush and will redo the lettering so that it looks mint.

Ok guys, this problem has been going on a YEAR now, and I've replaced coil packs, plugs, PTU. Cleaned all connections and reset ecu, mointored it, tried to see anything that might be causing it. No joy. Do any of you have a clue whats going on with my left bank. I know its overfuelling because its missing on a cylinder, consequently taking out my left o2 sensor. Ok I have a sound file, but due to this sites really anoying file type attachment managing services, i can't post it up. So would one of you guys give me an email addy i can send it to you with, cos I'm really really sick of this now. :headvswal

Just bought a polished plenum from smithy .. just wanna order some gaskets now ... just want to check im ordering enough .. so far the gaskets i can think of are ... throttle bodies .. balance bar rubbers? .. and the obvious plenum to head gasket .. anything else i might need? and whos the best person to get em from? Hello all, Has anyone had the experience of fitting tubular ex manifolds to a non turbo z ? I have just been quoted £500 by a specialist garage !!!!! + vat. I can only think that maybe its a little difficult ????? Could do wiv sum advice here . Cheers, Pete.

Just wondering what else I can do to keep the temp on our heat prone 300ZX down. So what I'm looking for is a nice list of things to do to help keep engine bay temp at a reasonable level. I've already got a koyo rad installed but is there any special coolant products that any one can recommend? Or just the normal stuff is ok? Would I gain anything from getting a 1.3 rad cap rather then keeping the 1.2 rad cap? On the subject of cooling my autobox already has an extra cooling rad for it which looks simlair to what Chris sells. Though it's doing it's job and my autobox oil is a nice red colour and not black and burnt I can't help but feel that it could do with an …

Im am getting 0.5 boost more often than I should be! All I need to is drive my car a couple of miles, turn it off and back on again and the car runs at 0.5 bar. Could this be due to blocked intercooler(s)? It might be worth a check, how could I check for blockages? Is there a way to unblock them i.e. a unblocking solution if there is such a thing?

Hello, at the moment I am using 740cc Nismo. For my next tuning step I need bigger ones. 850 Borderracing and/or increase the fuel pressure gives me only a little bit advantage. Therefore I am searching for 1000+ Injectors. Who can help me ? Christian

I've had a fuelling problem for ages that i can't find the cause of. Its basically missing on the left bank and concequently lobbing lots of fuel out the pipe. The top pic is the left o2 sensor results (in white) and the bottom one is the right o2 sensor. Can anyone make any sense of this?! Rich

Can some please clarify the length and width difference between a LWB and SWB in terms of side skirts and rear bumper. I have been given some side skirts and a rear bumper for the SWB and was hoping to see if it could be modded to fit the LWB hence needed the difference in figures. Cheers

I keep hearing about these underdrive pulleys but don't understand what it is. Is it a smaller, lighter bottom pulley or what? I've been working on cars in the motor trade for 14 odd years, just having trouble with the lingo. I have an N/A manual import, any serious poer gains from this mod?

Hi peeps, I have defi gauages so I can monitor my boost safely as it records my peak etc. I have noticed that if the engine is cool, it is a cool day or the car hasnt been used for a couple of hours I get 0.7 bar boost. If I have used the car for a few miles, turn the engine off for a bit and then turn it on again, I now get 0.5 bar boost. Also, If it is a warm day or the engine is hot I get 0.5 bar boost. It will stay at 0.5 boost until Ive turned the engine off and let it cool down for a couple of hours! All temperature readings seem normal. The car is pretty much standard. It has stock air filters. Could this be the problem? Is there a problem …

cheched all the levels and its from the radiator. 20 mins outside and there is 3 or four drips on the floor. when i put water in the filler, it pours streight out onto the floor is abnormal or is it an overfill safety feature. any ideas? cant get under the car as i dont have any axle stands, the rad is full of water and the stick shows a touch just above the low mark. what all that about?? :cry:
