Hi all, Has anyone used t-cut over the whole car? I was under the impression that it was just for swirl marks or light scratchs, but im told it can be used all over like a polish to bring it back to shine? Has anyone done this? Thanks

the wonders of buying a new car eh, something else that is driving me nuts. there is a slight electrical fault with it. Problem #1 the clock on the dash, most of the time it works, some times its really dim, and some times it does not work at all.I have checked the wires on the clock, and all seem ok, so im guessing it is a problem with the earth? - see question 2, as they may well be linked. Problem #2 The warning light for the open doors appears to be dodgy, when a door is open, it lights up fine, no problems. when the doors are closed theres a mild red glow coming from the dash, which, I assume is a bad earth (perhaps related to issue 1?) problem is, due…

1990 300zx Auto (import) guys, was driving into work today, and after going over 30mph the back starts to squeal, 1st from one side, and then the other. its sounds very likely like work braks rubbing when the brakes arent in use, but if i brake sudenly, the noise doesnt change, so I am fairly unsure that it is that, my next guess was the steering, again no change in noise and pitch. will put her up on the ramps tonight to try and find the problem, but does anyone have any ideas of what it could be before i jump under the car?

...but still on standard injectors? I know there won't be many - but if there is someone can you post your Profec settings as every time I get mine spot on, the next time I drive the car it keeps hitting the warning limit I have set at 13 psi. Have put it down to cooler air / under bonnet temps but in theory I though a boost controller should be unaffected by temperature?

Your car was parked up by the Newmarket Road/Elizabeth Way roundabout when I cycled past earlier this evening. In front of what (I think) might be student accomodation of some sort.

After searching the dip/dim issue im not sure how my zed is working at all ? I have a uk spec zed from 1990, but witha 99spec front bumper/spoiler. THe sidelights are contained within the "fog" lights in this bumper. Does this mean dipdim shouldnt be an issue for me>? Is there an easy way i can check? ? Also what sort of temperature have guys been "cooking" the headlights on and for how long? Whats the best thing to use to re-seal the headlight unit after cleaning? Cheers all, sorry to ask stuipid questions but i need to get my headlights sorted to pass the mot!

Hi chaps, Hope your all well. I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on some wide alloys that i am about to purchase. The spec are as follows - 5stud 18-inch 114.3 fitment x2 Front width 10.5J/ offset F+12. x2 Rear width 13 J/ offset R-10. My concern is whether or not the offset will fit on my wide arch conversion. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks G.

A little help please, does anyone know of a plinth/panel available to fit to the back of the z tailgate when the '93 spec spoiler is removed? It is needed to match in with the rear light units which fit below it. I am changing to a '99 spec spoiler which sits up off the tailgate. OR do I have to weld a plate in and paint that?

I'm a bit miffed at the moment as I not sure what my oil temp should be at. It seems to sit at around 85'C but if I give her some serious boot will climb to about 110'c unless I back off. The result is that water Temp will go into high 90's. The car is running a little rich at the moment, but JD said he'd map her properly on the rolling road soon, but I want the temp thing right before I sit her on a rolling road reving her tits off. Help??

Ok trust me to be different. Started to fit my whiteline lowering springs onto my nismo S tune dampers  last week and noticed all was not well. Simply put the whiteline springs are the wrong diameter to fit the 300zx dampers.   They are too big. A hurried call to demon tweeks and check of the on-line fitment catalogue confirmed that indeed the whiteline part numbers were correct but judge for yourself from the pics. would you have put these on your car? The guy said we have had hundreds of these fitted to loads of cars  Compare the first pic of the whiteline spring and how it sits on the damper with clear day light …
