I've read on here before that you can change the J spec head light fitting from H3C to H3?? Is this correct, if so, how do you do it???!?!!

Hello, Previously I didnt know what engine knocking sounded like. I feel its good to know so you know what to look for. Please help me....I've located a 300zx TT auto. 63K miles, 1993 model 2+2 is pearl white. Right now that's outta the way, have a problem... The wife is pregnant and therefore I'm selling my Kawasaki, in favour of a zed. The question that I need answering, is there a baby seat that fits a 300zx 2+2? I suspect that there are some parents out there who might be able to point me in the correct direction...well...hoping is a better description.... :headvswal Thanks. Paul

Dont usually lock my car with the key but tried to last night and found the drives lock jammed solid and passenger one really stiff, taken a look inside today and everything is still attached as it should be, had a good spray around with WD40, all the nylon joints seem to be fine. Car locks up fine via remote, and if sat in the car it locks from the interior switch, just not from the door lock, any ideas as its hard to see properly inside the doors. Anyone know who does the best braided brake lines????? And ones that actually fit, i've heard some of the connections don't always.....

has any one done this convertion and if so what problems did you run into and did you custom fabricate the mounts and so on or buy a kit from yank land would be very intrested in any info as i feel like im :headvswal trying to find out more about such a convertion

Iv downloaded some music videos which i wanna be able to play on my Alpine DVD player How do i go about burning these so that the format is correct for my DVD player to play it The manual says it has the following features: plays windows media dvds (audio + video) Video cd (audio + video) As the car is at the bodyshop so i cant really test it but would i need to convert it into anything or can i simply just do a straight burn on to a cd and let it be a video cd and be played as that Any suggestions or help will be great and if any converting does need to be done then the relevant software would also be helpful if you can assist Chee…

Has anybody made an air duct in a standard front bumper were the false lights are to feed more air into the i/c

Burst a hose and the AA man (once the hose was patched) checked coolant pressure which was only reaching 5-6psi (what is normal running pressure?)and then the blue water check showed that somewhere inside there is a gases leak. I suspect this is the head gasket which has probably cooked (thanks to a slow reacting gauge - must get some decent dials!) but any advice from you Zed heads to pass onto the mechanic would be very much appreciated. Its a 1990 Jap import TT manual - please help me fix my baby!

Just wondering if there is any way of checking if the coil packs are at their best? have fitted new plugs recently but wondered if the coil packs are on the way out? Are they stupidly expensive to replace? Cheers

are the three front ancillary drivebelts on the TT the same as the ones for the NA? cheers

must be the season for it.after fixing my intake leak i hoped that would be the cause of my missfire sadly not.think ive looked at all the obvious now swapped plug and coil got voltage at injector plug and coil plug.got voltage at the connector on top of the ptu but havnt checked the bottom am i missing something obvious gettin a bit worried now any help much appreciated oh done ecu check no errors

I think im paranoid but thought id better check. I am getting ECU error code 34 and I get safety boost when engine gets warm, so pretty sure I have a faulty dett sensor. However, I have not ruled out the possability that my car could be detting but I dont think it is. I can hear a swirling sound on idle, but I think it is just the belts. I get no rattling sounds on load or during hard acceleration. What do you think?

Hi all, I hooked up the datascan to our N/A Zed the other day to reset the ECU (pick up was crap due to a previous hole in the exhaust, now fixed). Whilst watching the pretty gauges, I noticed the O2 sensor gauge was a bit inactive. I added in the other side and the "O2 Sensor Right Hand" flicks back and forth as you would expect. However the "O2 Sensor" (presumably left hand) seems to get stuck. Occasionally it flickers into life but it never gets as far round and often sits on 0 or 1. Also the "A/F" register at the bottom shows "Lean" instead of alternating between Lean and Rich. Is this likely to be a failed lambda sensor or possibly a wiring problem…

Hello all, sorry to jump in like this - but I am an expat..... Bought a Z TT a couple of monhs ago and now have just noticed smoke from LHS exhaust when hot, not enough to help global warming but not a good look. I had a read of this on your tech article: Grey Smoke with light Blue on Full Temp - This is the Sign of the dreaded rear turbo seal failing, this can usually be attributed to wear of the engine or component failure, will need the seal replacing to regain full performance, new seal - 20 quid , cost of labour 650 quid : and that seems to be it...... As I have full power I assume it is a seal that is leaking not turbo failure...yet. So my questions are: …

If one was to fit a set of these to ones Z, what could one expect handling wise and what problems could be caused ie would they sit under the arches ok etc? Thanks Rob

Hi again chaps - questions questions tonight! Just been for a pootle - roof off, perfect! Anyway pulled up at some lights...long straight road noone about and i dont do this very often - took overdrive off and put my foot to the floor when they went green, sped off, great..looked in my mirror and there was 2 clouds of smoke from my exhausts..not too bad, but i noticed them on looking back..just wondered if this should happen? thanks Ed

Did a service on car and did a ecu and jet install, and now i have a boost leak coming for the back of the engine bay right ish side sounds like its almost under the plenium, it's boosting to 6psi but sounds like its not boosting on second turbo as i have nothing really over 4k revs, checked ecu all fine, on diag, any ideas which pipe it might be or where is goes as i cannot find it atall. many thanks tom

Ive got a r33 gts/t rear rack complete with arms my arms have play on both inner joints under the rack gaiters .Will these arms fit a z32 they look the same not sure about thread pitches anyone know thanks taff.

Tucked the zed in the garage and went on hols for 2 weeks - come back and it's playing up - can anyone shed some light for me please: Symptoms are for a TT manual 1990. Coming to a stop the engine cuts out when idling - if the throttle is blipped it almost cuts out - sometimes it does... The main radiator fan is on full time The fuse named "engine cont" keeps blowing - everytime I add a new one. The "lights" warning light is on the dashboard and the battery light is on - but faint. ECU check shows code 55.... wierd... Plus engine sounds ruff and is smoking from exhaust (never done this - not even slightly before CATS are in too) Any ideas plea…

I go on holiday for 2 weeks - Zed nicely tucked up in the garage..... Ran perfectly before, I return from holiday and it's playing up! Symptoms are as follows (TT manual) Engine stalling when pulling up to a stop... car idles fine but if you blip the throttle the engine almost dies (and sometimes it does).... Plus the fuse in the engine fuse box keeps blowing - it's the one marked "engine cont". The word "light is illuminated on the dash and the battery light has a faint glow! Any ideas - thanks as always guys...
