Hi again chaps - questions questions tonight! Just been for a pootle - roof off, perfect! Anyway pulled up at some lights...long straight road noone about and i dont do this very often - took overdrive off and put my foot to the floor when they went green, sped off, great..looked in my mirror and there was 2 clouds of smoke from my exhausts..not too bad, but i noticed them on looking back..just wondered if this should happen? thanks Ed

Did a service on car and did a ecu and jet install, and now i have a boost leak coming for the back of the engine bay right ish side sounds like its almost under the plenium, it's boosting to 6psi but sounds like its not boosting on second turbo as i have nothing really over 4k revs, checked ecu all fine, on diag, any ideas which pipe it might be or where is goes as i cannot find it atall. many thanks tom

Ive got a r33 gts/t rear rack complete with arms my arms have play on both inner joints under the rack gaiters .Will these arms fit a z32 they look the same not sure about thread pitches anyone know thanks taff.

Tucked the zed in the garage and went on hols for 2 weeks - come back and it's playing up - can anyone shed some light for me please: Symptoms are for a TT manual 1990. Coming to a stop the engine cuts out when idling - if the throttle is blipped it almost cuts out - sometimes it does... The main radiator fan is on full time The fuse named "engine cont" keeps blowing - everytime I add a new one. The "lights" warning light is on the dashboard and the battery light is on - but faint. ECU check shows code 55.... wierd... Plus engine sounds ruff and is smoking from exhaust (never done this - not even slightly before CATS are in too) Any ideas plea…

I go on holiday for 2 weeks - Zed nicely tucked up in the garage..... Ran perfectly before, I return from holiday and it's playing up! Symptoms are as follows (TT manual) Engine stalling when pulling up to a stop... car idles fine but if you blip the throttle the engine almost dies (and sometimes it does).... Plus the fuse in the engine fuse box keeps blowing - it's the one marked "engine cont". The word "light is illuminated on the dash and the battery light has a faint glow! Any ideas - thanks as always guys...

Some of you may know about the nightmare I've had trying to get the guy who fitted my toad alarm to connect it to the central locking (he couldn't do it!) Anyway I've decided to not call back this guy for the umpteenth time only to be told he still has no clue. So... can anyone recommend a company that could connect my toad ai606 (not sure if the model number is right) alarm to my central locking for me. Thanks in advance, Al

Hi All, Was stuck on the M6 today, not moving at all...so hot outside too..was looking at the Amb temp gauge on the Air Con panel, it was 37..38 39 - 45, i thought sh*t..but it wil be ok by this time i had my heating on High at 40deg (roof was off!!) then looked down again, and its was at 60! Pulled over just incase on to the hard shoulder, got the bonnet up and gave 10mins..it had dropped to about 44 and the traffic was moving a bit more, so all was fine. My oil and coolant is fine got them both flushed abd changed the weekend (nice to meet you Paul!), so im just wondering if i would of carried on at 60deg would it of been ok? I know this is just the outs…

had an annoying ordeal with my TT import. Have just finished my luuuurvly boot install (pics to follow) and all was great... for a few hours. the next day, I opened up the boot (via the pullswitch in the drivers side - push for fuelcap, pull for bootcatch) to open up the boot to show of, my, er boot. the same time the fuel flap opened up, and it seems that the catch has gone up inside the car. doh!!! anyone else had this problem before, and can advise the easiest way to get to this blighter?

I think one of my turbos is leaking oil therefore want to start saving up for two new ones..... Is there something i can replace which will be better and quicker than standard or even a little more boost without having to start changing anything else to strengthen any other engine parts. Costs too would be good thanks........

My '92 UK Auto is stuck in first gear. Occurred about a mile into my journey when I put my foot down to overtake. Engages neutral OK & reverse but won't change up. Tried electronic diagnostics mentioned in another thread but no faults were found. Clutch burnt out? It's original box with 120K on the clock, time for a manual conversion? Any advice welcome!

Yet another confusing little problem. lol. I had two new fromt tyres fitted the other day and since then I've noticed a amount of vibration through the steering wheel. It was only a little at first but seems to be getting steadily worse. I've checked all the wheel nuts and they are all nice and tight. The vibration is worse at speed, the steering wheel seems to going 'left, right, left, right but only slightly if you know what I mean. The problem was not there b4 new tyres fitted and the tracking and rear camber were all done last week at Protyre. Does anyone know what my be causing this plz ???

Hi guys just a theoretical question.What would happen if my EGR pipes were leaking badly? As i have found that both pipes have lost a bolt and the others have come loose under the plenum. The car ticks over but wont drive over 2000rpm however it will rev when not under load. Could this be the cause of my problem? Thanks Steve.

When I get into the boost range I get a noise that sounds like air escaping or something loose in my exhaust near the engine. I guess you would have to hear it to diagnose but I thought maybe the waste gate spring would make like a rattle kind of sound.
