Want to fit a tt diff into my n/a Z. Someone on ebay got the bits, so just need to know what I need. Don't want any hicas stuff. I'm assuming the driveshafts and cv joints are stronger so I'll need those. Willthe diff and shafts fit into my back end or do I need any more bits, ie hubs and hubshafts etc. also are the back brakes much bigger on tt? Ta.

Hi, I have Tein Coilovers and the ride feels very good. However, I am concerned whether they are too low. My exhaust scrapes when I go into my drive and sometimes if I go too fast over a speed hump. It never used to do this when I first got the car (2 months ago). The exhaust is not hanging down. How does Coilovers work as I aint got a clue! Is it possible for them to lower themselves if the device used to lower/raise the suspension is not done up tight enough? What could I check to see if all is correct and whats involved in adjusting them? Thanks Colin

Guys, In the US again and just took a punt on these apparently made specifically for the 300zx. They are in good condition but the Trouble is no idea how to fit them. Has anyone on the list seen these before or better still got them fitted? I need fitting instructions. Specifically these are not just straight blow off valves............ They are an 'intelligent blow-off valve that blows or re-circulates depending on what the car needs at the time???!!!! this be hype and bull or a really cool piece of kit. Anyone?

Ok guys in need of advice here. Its the same prob I've had for nearly two years. Cylinder six isn't working properly. Replaced PTU, Coil Pack and cleaned all connections BUT today i've had enough and disconnected all the injectors one by one. Every single one makes a difference except cylinder six (top right as you stand in front of the car). Any ideas? Dead injector, dodgy wiring? All the injectors read 11.37 - 11.51 volts . but how to i test if each one is receving a signal to tell the injector to squirt? And if the wiring is working could it be a dead injector? If so how can i test. this is gettin urgent now and its driving me mad both in the amount of …

Hi people, I, well my mate needs a bit of help and suggestions from all of you. Basically what has happened is that about a week ago my mate was out in his Z and he came around to a set of traffic lights where he wanted to take a left from. While he was turning left he put his foot down which made his rear come out to the right and he carried on drifting it having his fun, brought it back into control but then the rear drifted out to its left and again he carried on with the drift with his foot down having fun again but then guess what happened.......the rear wishbone I believe it would be, SNAPPED which made the car spin round and round but then came to a stop. No inju…

i had a problem previously with my starter motor blowing fuses, that was traced and i've had 6 months trouble free starting....... until yesterday... went to start the car and i could hear the starter motor turning but it wasnt engaging.. i tried rocking the car back and forth in gear, but to no avail... i bumped the car off easily and then stopped it to see if that would free it but no joy. i took it for a drive to warm it up but still the same, i can hear it spinning but its not engaging... the battery is absolutely fine, nearly new heavy duty job, i also have a second battery onboard for my install which is also fully charged, so its not the battery... …

I am thinking about getting a 300ZX and wasn't aware there was variable valve timing available on 300ZX engines. On my current Honda Prelude VTEC, the VTEC variable valve timing makes a BIG difference to performance but i expect it is not as noticable on cars with turbos. From what i have heard the Honda VTEC system is the best variable valve timing system on the market and has never had any recorded failures so is the Nissan version anygood/worth having or does it cause problems and is more trouble than it is worth? Does the variable valve timing kick in at a certain rev point like the VTEC system? from what year does the engines have the VVT? how is this shown?
