Hi I think I read a tread on here about a guy who had his standard wheel chromed. Did a quick search but couldn't find anything. Does it ring any bells? Spencer

I drove approximatly 60-70 miles Yesterday and noticed mz TT Z Auto is surging IE: around 2000rpm the rev counter is rising a slight amount and the car is surging you can feel it in the car ? it does not appear to be missing whilst under load or idle ? Any ideas ?

L plate silver Z with big spolier on rear parked outside shops about 6.00 ish ? iwas in the Red one that cruized past you !!

You've just driven past my house today Fri 21st July at 11am!!! Funny number plate something like RBZ???? On a sqaure number pate on the back of your Z... Notice you got after market exhausts too!!

All, I am now really confused. You get a UK 300zx turbo or non-turbo The Japanese equivalent is a Fairlady? Is that right? Also, an insurer has just told me that the Fairlady is a Twin T and the UK is just a single Turbo? Does that mean that there is a UK Twin T as well as a UK single T? I just want to sort out my insurance and do not want to quote the wrong bloody car as I previously mentioned, a UK car 300zx Turbo will cost me around £350, whilst the cheapest I have got a Fairlady for is £850!!! HEEEELLLLLLLPPPPP all I want is a Zed!!!

I am now in a position that I can get my first Zed :dance: HOWEVER, I have shopped around for insurance quotes and now I am confused. If I put the car in as a 300zx Turbo Auto - I can get third party, fire and theft quotes for around the £350 mark (I am 31 with 9+years ncb) When I try and get a quote on a Fairlady Z (Jap import right?) the quote jumps up to in excess of £1000!!! i think im gonna get him to change the cam belt, water pump and inlet hoses!!! i have what i think is a leaking water pump (thanks for the posts) and i cant drive the car to a zed specialist, i trust the mechanic, he races cars and builds turbos. im posting to ask what special info i need to give him, im going to make sure i only get nissan parts. Why is the zed cambelt more tricky than other cars? im going in to see him today so help would be fantastic! thanks paul

Red zed, north circular near wimbledon, about 5:30-6pm today (thurs, not today today). I was in a silver estate waving frantically.

I have a bit of a problem...... i have exorted my beloved Fairlady out to spain with me and went today to put her onto spanish plates... but....... because she is a jap import and does not have the sticker with the kerb weight on it i cannot put her throught the spanish M.O.T!!!! I either need someone to take some photos of this sticker for me or if you could part with yours and sell it to me i would be greatly appreciated...... Nissan over here have quoted 80 euros or 50 quid for a sticker?????? i know parts for the 300zx are pricey but 50 quid for a bloody sticker!!! hope someone can help as she is now sat depressed in my driveway........

Just discoverd about the unusual lamp that my import Zed has! Looked at related posts & Ill think I will stick to using the "proper" PIAA lamp - low beam, blue tint but it does say 55w ! Anyone on here selling these? Thanks Chris

Can anyone tell me what the fuel pressure should be at idle ?? also ive noticed recently when i remove fuel cap theres no hissing sound does this indicate a problem ?? as in the past it did make a hissing noise every time i removed cap, now zed wont start & when it does cuts out after few seconds also have done a search & came up with a check valve were is this located & would it cause the symptoms mentioned

Sorry if this has been asked before but is there any difference between the UK model and the jap import (twin turbo) in terms of performance? also what are the actual specs 0-60 etc as i see different ones everywhere i go. thanks people :)

I am now the proud owner of a 1200W Sub so I need an amplifier. What would people suggest and would I power any other of the speakers and if I did would it be worth changing the other speakers? Thanks

Seen Today Getting On M62 Towards Liverpool From M57

my bushing on the left rear axil was leaking thick honey type necter about a month ago now, how badly does this need fixed and what price would u b talkin about 2 get part and fitting? it still drives ok thow. also iv got a slight blow out somewere near the middle of the car but when iv looked under, it seems a bit rusty and was thinkin ov getting a whole new front 2 back system, what would b the best and chepest 2 buy and what if i bought turbo back decat pipes 4 an N/A car wud that b a problem or wud it work? its a 91 import swb. many tks any 1.

Hi, some advice needed please :) When enyterimng a roundabout my power steering will die making it very hard to steer. As i then use all my strength to pull the car round it will suddenly start working again. Is becoming very dangerous as you can all understand. Do the 300's have progressive power steering system?????? If so where????? Any advice gratefully recieved.

Im selling my Zed at the end of September... But with norton insurance they will only give me 30% refund if i cancel my policy after 2 months of taking it out.... Any ideas?? are there any cheap insurance companys who will insure a 26 yo for 2 months? or will i have to sell my Zed before i want to??

Help please someone. My 300zx ( imported recently) seems to be dumping air overboard. I had the same issue on another zx before. Thinking it was safety boost I did all the usual things...disconnect and clean all conectors ( water, TPS etc) and the issue went away. On this one same problem. It will boost to around 5 but no further and if I drive it for a while the warning light that looks like an exhaust with heat comes on. Checked the ECU and did all the same things again and I can't get rid of it. I don't know the exact history of the car but it has an Apexi S-AFC fitted so I think maybe at some point it had a boost controller as well...so I checked for the intake pipes …

Looking at a set of wheels details are: 17 inch x 8J front and 9J rear and offsets Front is 22.5mm and rears 42.5mm. Question is are they ok for Z fitment? Any help will be much appreciated... :)
