Tapping or Clicking Noise??? if its a clicking noise its more than likely a relay. check the TT wiring harness and connectors and also check the battery terminals are on tight. aslo, if you have an alarm installed, is it compatable with a turbo timer. Some arnt, and you get the Alarm ammobiliser fighting with the turbo timer circuit which also causes a relay to click on and of repeatively on some models.

ah, this is true! it's more like a clicking!

is there a way around the alarm to become compatable with the turbo timer?

Well, its down to your car being insurance being invalid when it comes to an insurance claim amongst other things if your car has been fitted with an incomaptable alarm/imoboliser/Turbo timer combo.... there are certain Alarms that have a programmable feature to allow a time period for activation to allow the TT to work. Not my specialist feild as it something you should check before buying a TT.

I would however just check all the connections, and earths to baterry etc etc. When does the clicking noise start? just after you switch off, or is it there all the time?

it's there from the moment i start the car, whilst i'm driving and when the turbo timer starts ticking!

have had a laserline alarm installed so will check with the garage that fitted it exactly how to adjust it, if that's possible!
