First box blew at approx 50 K due to filter disintegrating and clogging (2003) Full rebuild Rebuilt box went at 60K due to oil leak from front gasket (2004) Rebuild under guarantee gasket should have been changed at rebuild 2007 aproaching 70K box is slipping in third, being beaten by celicas, probably on i…

In my Z, the standard PSI gauge either reads way off the clock when the electrics + engine is off (past -14) or when electrics + engine is on it reads way above +14 (off the clock again) But its also limited to 5K revs. Any ideas why the gauge is being weird and why im limited?

yes i know i am anoying to ask another question about the AIVs but done a search and there is so much on them and all the posts i have looked at dont answer my question...... Looking at this guide http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/137858.html at the begining he talks about disconnecting the shared vacuum lines the AIV has with EGR and stock boost gauge. I have 2 questions. 1. I would like to keep the stock boost gauge functioning. He says about connecting the vacuum line straight to the balance bar after the AIV solenoid is chucked out. He looses me a bit here. Is there a spare nozzle on the balance bar to attach this line, and will the line stretch co…

Why would my 1.6 be so heavy on fuel at the moment? i do have a hole in the exhaust, is there anything else i could check which effects the fuel consumption e.g. plugs? It's starting to get annoying, i even tried a Ecotek valve to improve the fuel econemy.

Hi, I've just got my hands on a J plate TT which is a non runner but I'm looking forward to getting her on the road. Despite saying I wouldn't buy anything until she was running the new 18's and some side skirts are on the way!! But I need some help. I have spark and fuel out of the filter but she still won't start, not even a cough or splutter. So my questions What is the best way to check the injectors are firing? Where can I get the metal bits that hold the connectors onto the various sensors, the previous owner seems to have lost them all so the connectors can just be pulled off the PTU etc. Any other things to check??

Having recently had a kiddie, It's looking like the Zeds days are numbered. It's a 95 TT Auto in Metallic Green, so a really nice colour. Aftermarked 17" rims and a full SS Apexi exhaust system, DVD player, Toad Cat 1 alarm, and Greddy turbo timer. What sort of price would I be looking at/should advertise at...Oh and it's got 53500 miles on the clock. Thanks

Does anyone know what this ECU code means? 42 Fuel temperature sensor circuit The fuel temperature circuit is open or shorted (An abnormally high or low voltage is entered) I pulled the temp sensor plug a couple of days ago because it was getting hot after a combination of booting+hot weather+sitting in traffic, to make the sub fan kick in. So i am also getting a code 13 too. Am i getting the code 42 for the same reason or is it a different issue?
