Im pretty bored at the moment so decided after recently finding out that no 99specs could be imported to the UK decided to see whether they could be to Ireland so went onto the VRT calculator website and a 91 zed has a vrt of 1800 and 99spec has a vrt of 3800! So its possible to import a 99spec without a model report in Ireland!

i'll shortly by having my engine rebuilt and my tubbies refurbed with 360 degree b/bs. im keeping standard internals, 555's with suitable chip, uprated oil pump, manual cams (my car was an auto and still has the auto cams), manual spec turbos after refurb. while this is being done i'd like to spend just a bit more on various bits and bobs. im thinking: Series 2 PTU (my S1 has been fine but you never know) Uprated sidemount intercoolers (although my bumper is blended in so my options could be limited) (possibly) Greg Dupree divorced downpipes water bypass around plenum (can someone tell me more about this) i had the option of forged pistons but tbh i really…

As many of you know, I was given the task of designing, printing and dispatching the 2007 Club Calendars at the back end of last year. The Committee decided to subsidise the cost of the calendars due to the fiasco the year before. This was done as a goodwill gesture to our members, as some had paid for calendars the previous year and didn’t even receive one, thanks to an untrustworthy former member. :mac1: The calendars were printed and ready for mailing in early November. I was conscious that this was getting late and wanting to ensure all members received them before Christmas, I decided to mail all calendars to those who had put their names on the list. Th…

Well I had difficulty seeing the road on a night. Now I know why. Just taken the headlights apart to clean and also to fit my HID kit from Dan at DTA. Could not believe the build up of dirt. Also HID fitment for those interested. It has taken me 4 hours and all I have done is take headlights off, clean one of them fit it back as well as installation of both HID units. Cant wait to do the other one :wack: :headvswal Thanks Paul

Have a 1990 300ZX. Engine cuts out when at steady speed -- just like turning the key off. Any speed, any temperature. Need to back off throttle and then reapply throttle to keep running. Intermittent. Does not cut out under acceleration, ever. Recent fuel and air filters. Reseated two big connectors front of engine right side (from drivers seat). Biggest connector has green male and female contacts. Burnished male connectors -- cannot get to female connectors.

hello all me again, my car came with venom alloys which look quite nice, (altho only seem to be 16") it has 225 50 ZR16's on all round front 2 ok but havent been in road in 2 years, and back 2 buggered! is this the correct size? should the backs not be bigger than the fronts? maybe not, your wealth of experiance and wisdom is appreciated, dont wanna fork out for the wrong ones. i took my cheap and nasty boost gauge out yesterday after finding a blitz item in with all the spare parts that came with the car (cheers paul ;) ) after fitting it i found i wasnt running the boost i thought i was due to the crap gauge so i turned the boost controller up bit by bit till i got to 1bar it was a cool nite and now am worried incase when the warmer weather comes it mite detonate due to me setting the boost on a cool nite? car is chipped, uprated smic's, upgraded tubs, exhaust etc

hi all, can i have a little info about turbo boost please, I am fairly new to all this, (gimmie dellorto carbs and i am in my element) I am talking to a guy about how to refurb my turbos and he reccomends a 360 bearing for anything over 10psi?? my car (when i get it on the road) will be pretty much stock and is a UK auto, but might consider playing with it in the future. the bearings add another £50 each onto the price and i have no idea what they do? can anyone gimmie a clue? how much boost do the tubs give? how do you increase it? oh and is it worth altering the chip in the ecu, or is the stock one good enough!! Sorry again for my ignorance but i am learning (i think!!…
