how many turns of thne key or how long does it take to start your zed, ive noticed in a few threads that some peeps cars take a few turn's or even a few try's before their car actually fires up my car (even though it runs shite lol) literally fires up almost instantly (wether hot or cold), less than half a turn so they say so how long does your's take

first of all my car takes about 3 key turns to start can anyone suggest y? iv changed new plugs+ptu+water sensor+ecu+tested all coil packs and fine+tested cam sensor and fine also fuel pump kicks in as soon as ignition is on!!! also when started there is no smoke but soon as car warms up (not fully) it puffs out white smoke but then clears after when norm temp is reached also when driving there is no smoke at all, but soon as im on lights o stop after a drive it puffs out white smoke can any one tell me y?iv also changed oil and filter oil i used was millers 10/ 40 i think loll

since solving me boost leaks i have an annoying problem, when the boost comes in in 1st and 2nd gears it causes wheelspin, which im not too bothered about but when it spins it feels like the rear wheels are bouncing off the road,seems to be worse in the dry, i have had the car in the air at work and there isnt any play in the suspension, could it be time for new rear shocks or even upgrade to coilovers? :confused:

Is there any difference between a Jap spec, 2+2 auto prop, and a UK spec, 2+2 auto prop ?? Centre bearing is on its way out, and got the chance of another prop, but mines is a Jap and the other one is from a UK car. Alan..........

I orderd an uprated clutch from sumo power and they have sent me an exedy racing clutch plate, all good, but on the invoice it says - R33 GTR paddle type. Do we share a clutch plate with he R33 or do I have a wrong part?

This car is well known in the SW to club members and is now in my ownership. As with all new toys you want to change them to reflect your own personallity. Initially I did not like the 3 spoke Advan wheels but they have started to grow on me, and besides they all have good rubber on, for now. Drove all the way from Karen's place to my work this morning (43 miles), in all the bloody horrible weather (it was P'ing it down) with no problems whats-so-ever! Come out of work this afternoon and find my rear near side tyre flat! Hi there I am going to be changing my suspension this weekend, and i was just looking in the manual at the front suspension and there is a gasket that goes between the top mount and the suspension turret, see pic below i have put a arrow to it. Coolio, my bright orange coilovers arrived today. They are sexy, thanks Smithy!! that means i can get them fitted, and the anti roll bars, not sure if i should atempt the hicas kit myself. All the interior is all over the place so once the shocks are in the interior can be fitted back in place and i can get my dash back together as i havn't been able to get to it due to the seats and trims everywhere. busy busy busy weekend.

our cars have variable valve timing on the exhaust cam dont they? I dont suppose it makes alot of difference when you throw turbos into the equation but do the solenoids often fail on these systems and if so would there be a noticable performance drop off. He can the VVT be checked to see if it is working properly?

:confused: ok so fitted my DV's couple of weeks back..well 2 months but power is nothing like it was when i first had car (4 months ago) i use to have to pull away in 2nd but now it seems so much slower...could this be from the dumpvalves? i didnt expect it to change this much...help me! :(
