As they are going to be able to reach the cam belt they asked if i wanted it changed?? Any thoughts?? I'm happy to do it if its worth it but don't want to throw to much money at this problem its gone into the garage for.

better add i'm not making a :smw: job on the Zed but on my Almera. i can't justify spending £160 on a nice shiney exhaust on a old Almera so i'm going to get a universal jobby and do it myself. So the really silly question ready?? how do you fit them? What i mean is my exhaust pipe comes out and bends upwards, so how do you get the universal rear box to fit the mid section which i've already hacked the bracket off where you bolt the 2 together. box in piccie wrong way up but that shows how the stock pipe bends up. exhaust

My door lock on the drivers side has the usual problem of the barrel being knackered so I have to use the clifford remote to unlock the door. The passenger side has the opposite problem in that it doesn't lock/unlock with the remote and will only do it manually! The drivers door lock is stuck shut today and I can't use the door :headvswal Hopefully it will 'unjam' later. If it doesn't un-jam is there anyway of getting into the door without breaking the door card as I can't reach the screws because the door is stuck shut. Also any ideas what the problem could be? I'm thinking central locking solenoid on the passenger side, but the drivers side (I think) is mechanica…

had my arches rolled yesterday courtesy of Phil at http://archenemy.co.uk/. I found that my 285's were just catching the lip on heavy compressions or very hard cornering. I also wanted a bit more space should I want a bigger tire or need to add spacers to clear a rear brake upgrade. I have to say I was very impressed with the standard of work and with Phil's professional approach to the whole job. Most of the work is spent prepping the arches to minimise the risk to the paint / body. Here are a few pics: prep work all hooked up ready to go rollin' rollin' rollin' pass side done

hi there I have a question please. I recently bought a 300zx dooer upper, guy i got it from says he had it looked at, they said it was the nearside turbo, I have only run the engine very breifly and it ran sweet but chucking lots of whitish smoke out at the drivers . I took out the plugs and compression tested each bore, each was bang on 100 so dont think there is a gasket problem, and the plugs on the driver side looked good (nice brown / biscuity) and the plugs on the nearside were all oiled up. by now i was convinced it was the nearside turbo but on dropping the intercoolers the nearside (suposed bad one) and it was very clean, on dropping the drivers side that one…

Hi My previous Alpine headunit would retract the electric aerial when you changed the source on the headunit to either CD or Minidisc. If you then changed it to to tuner, the aerial came up again. I have had a new Alpine headunit fitted and this functionality now does not happen. The aerial is always up when the headunit is on. Is this the same for everybody? Would love to get it back how it was, as I very rarely have the radio on so would be great if the aerial was down when the CD's are on. Thanks to anyone who can advise.

Hey guys i just finished my Cars profile on the Cardomain website and i wanted to see what you guys thought of my car. I did my best to add as much userful information as possible so let me know what you think. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2645958 Also on that note you'll see the lastest mod done to my car, a 300 kmph Z speedo which i installed on Friday last week(thanx to fleet). Got ringwood speedos to install the new speedo plate for me and i installed the speedo into my old NA cluster myself. I even added in a stock boost gauge

Got this from here: http://news.windingroad.com/body-stylesmarket-segment/coupes/spied-nissans-new-affordable-sports-car/ Looks like something is well dressed up and disguised to look like a 350Z. Just days after word came that Nissan is working on a small coupe, a mysterious prototype has been spotted in and around the automaker’s facilities at the Nürburgring in Germany. While the body of the prototype above screams 350Z, look closely, and substantial alterations seem to support the notion that this is not a next-generation Zed car, but rather a new, smaller model, potentially with some cues lifted from its Urge concept of a couple years back. Check o…
