Giant slayer
anyone got any views on these pads? They are cheapest pads availble on Motorsportworld but that is normally a bad thing. Cant find anything about them through the search.
Royal
I've got normal Mintex on mine at the moment, they do the job . The last owner had EBC race something or other and they didn't feel anything special either IMO. It doesn't bother me all that much as this car doesn't get ragged (got another one for that :) ) but definately the most useful mod on a zed is bigger brakes if you can find the cash. Those extreme ones must be better than the normal ones for faster driving so you're probably be fine, but its worth getting the best ones you can afford as the brakes are the weak point and the Zed is a lot of car to stop. Retro620ti
i belive the extreme are just a mix of pad formulations...x1,x2 and so on so operate well over a variety of conditions.

Extreme??? Surely they have a compound number? Never heard of them. The mintex 1155 compound are very good for the Zed and would be my second choice to Ferodo DS2500's had the normal road compound mintex on my Volvo and they were very good but 4 laps at the Nurburge ring hauling its big fat ass up from 140 mph+ for the twiddley bits found them wanting. Well wanting a lot more pad as they were down to the metal and the disc's where destroyed. :D :D

Royal
Those are the ones I have mate. They do a good job on the road, now that they are bedded in a bit they are more than adequate. Luke is a top bloke as well. He got mine out to me within a day or two.
Giant slayer
that is good enough recommendation for me mate! just phoned them up and were very helpful of always and i should have them in time for the weekend! Glad to see you have got another zed mate. I am just about finished with those standard alloys i bought from you if you want them back for some track use. Will soon have my 18" mille miglia's back from the fixers and my car will finally be restored to its former glory!
Royal
Ah, sorry didn't realise it was you mate! I liked the sound of your Zed when you came over. My new one sounds very similar so I'm happy with that. I wont be doing any track days in this Zed, the yellow fella is for that :) Thanks for the offer though. Give us a call if you are ever up my way (I've moved about two miles down from that last place (again!)), kettle is always on. Hopefully meet at a meet soon again.
